    Patrick received his B.A. in Government from the University of Notre Dame in 1990. He graduated from the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis in 2001, summa cum laude, where he was salutatorian. Patrick served on the Indiana Law Review and received the James Lawrence Fellowship from the Indianapolis Bar Foundation. He interned for the Honorable John Tinder, United States District Court, Southern District of Indiana; Region 25 of the National Labor Relations Board; and the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.

    Patrick is a frequent speaking and author. Some of the topics include "Legal and Ethical Issues for Indiana Accountants (2006)", "Practical Tips to Avoid Malpractice Complaints and Grievances (2007)", "Representing Non-Profit Corporations (2008)", and "Legal Ethics and Conflicts of Interest - a Case Study Perspective (with Don Lundberg) (2008)."

    Professional Associations, Memberships and Community Service

    Patrick is a member of the Legal Ethics Committee of the Indiana State Bar Association and is a member of the Expert Witness Committee and the Center for Professional Responsibility of the American Bar Association. Patrick is a 4th Degree Sir-Knight and an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Patrick is President for the Notre Dame Class of 1990 and a member of the Notre Dame Club of Indianapolis. Patrick also serves on the Officer Advisory Council at Notre Dame. Patrick was a founding Board Member of Veterans of Valor, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.

    Representative Cases

    Nesbitt v. Jackel, 2008 WL 427655 (Ind. Ct. App. Feb. 19, 2008) (affirming summary judgment in favor of attorney because plaintiff did not provide admissible evidence that attorney breached her duty or proximately caused plaintiff's damages, finding that trial court correctly barred plaintiff's expert testimony upon attorney's motion).
