About Paul

Kip Reese grew up in Fairmont, West Virginia. After graduating from Fairmont Senior High school in 1971 he attended the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Mr. Reese transferred to West Virginia University in 1973 where he was awarded a BA in history, cum laude. He received his law degree from the West Virginia College of Law in 1980.

After law school, Mr. Reese entered the US Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps, as a Commissioner for the U.S. Navy-Marine Corps Court of Military Review at the Washington Navy Yard. He then transferred to Yokosuka, Japan where he discharged the civil and criminal duties supporting the USS Midway task force including liaison duty with local Japanese authorities. After active duty, Mr. Reese entered private practice which included work with District 17, UMWA; the West Virginia Attorney General's Office; and full spectrum civil and criminal practice in Charleston, West Virginia and Baltimore, Maryland. In addition to over twenty-four years of experience in prosecuting and defending personal injury cases, Mr. Reese has served as counsel for the West Virginia House of Delegates, Committee on the Judiciary (2007 and 2008 sessions) and counsel for the West Virginia House of Delegates, Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources (1998 session).

Mr. Reese enjoys spending his spare time traveling, reading, golfing and visiting historical and archaeological sites, especially with his wife, Angela and daughter, Savannah.
