PAUL M. PORTER is a partner at the firm, practicing in real property and business litigation. He represents clients in a variety of areas involving real property disputes, including, for example, shopping center issues, eminent domain, inverse condemnation, land use, environmental, real estate purchase agreement disputes, and commercial lease disputes. He has also represented clients involved in business and contract issues generally, including letter of credit, aviation, legal malpractice defense, property damage and construction defect litigation. Mr. Porter has extensive trial experience and has represented a variety of clients, including individuals, business entities, as well as governmental entities. He has also represented private parties and public agencies in administrative proceedings, and in appellate matters. He has practiced at Hill, Farrer & Burrill LLP since graduating from law school in 1991.

Mr. Porter is a native of Southern California. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University in 1986, and he received his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1991.

Mr. Porter was admitted to the California bar in 1991, and has been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central and Southern Districts of California, as well as the Eastern District of Wisconsin. Mr. Porter is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (Litigation and Real Property Sections), the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, the Irish American Bar Association, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
