About Peggy
Peggy received her law degree from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago,Illinois. She continually attends legal educational and practice seminars tostay abreast of the numerous, complex and ever- evolving laws that affect theaging population.
Peggy has been a licensed and practicing Professional Registered Nurse since1975 and has many years of experience as a medical case manager. This workinvolved the coordination and transition of catastrophically ill or injuredpatients through the continuum of care, for both short-term and long-termmedical and rehabilitative services. Additionally, she has nearly two decades ofexperience within the industry of health insurance and benefit administration.She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration fromElmhurst College in 1999.
Peggy's first exposure to Elder Law occurred in the mid 1980's when sheattended an educational seminar presented by one of the first practicing ElderLaw attorneys in the Chicago Metropolitan area. At that time, Peggy was involvedwith an organization that devoted its efforts toward patient quality of care andaccess to care issues, especially as related to the older population. She alsoserved as a Parish Nurse for her church in the Mid 1990's. These experienceslaid the groundwork for subsequent pursuits, educationally and professionally,allowing her to fulfill her desire to provide meaningful and helpful services toand for clients who are anticipating and approaching their later years. Shecontinues to have strong ties within the medical community and serves as amember of the DuPage Senior Citizens Council Health Committee.
Peggy provides Elder Law services because she derives great satisfaction fromhelping people as they grow older, to make informed and beneficial legaldecisions. The practice of Elder Law allows a unique and rewarding opportunityfor Peggy to refocus and perpetuate her personal mission to provide caringservice to this population of clients for whom she has previously cared andnurtured as patients.
