About Peter
Barrett Morris is a criminal defense attorney in Charlotte, NC. He also practices in all aspects of estate planning. Barrett is a native of Norfolk, Virginia. He graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Politics. Barrett obtained his Juris Doctorate from the Charlotte School of Law.
Since moving to Charlotte, Barrett has fallen in love with the area and the community. While at the Charlotte School of Law, Barrett achieved the Dean's List recognition, and volunteered in many pro bono clinics involving consumer fraud, criminal defense, and immigration. Barrett also worked as a Summer Associate during law school at Hunt Law, PLLC where he worked on a variety of criminal defense matters.
Barrett is a volunteer attorney for the Council For Children’s Rights, a committee member of the Community Service committee of the Mecklenburg Bar County Association, and a committee member of the Legal Assistance Committee of the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Mecklenburg County Bar Association. He is also a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, and the Mecklenburg County Bar Association.
Outside the office, Barrett enjoys spending time at the National Whitewater Center, reading, playing guitar, and spending time with his chocolate lab Hoover.
