About Peter
Mr. Lese has been specializing in trusts and estates matters since 1988. He advises our clients in all aspects of estate planning and business succession planning for U.S. and non-U.S. persons, including techniques designed to minimize estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes. He has administered numerous large estates and trusts of up to $600,000,000. He oversees estate and trust administration, including probate of wills, preparation of estate and gift tax returns and accounting proceedings. He forms and administers charitable trusts and private foundations for our clients who are charitably inclined. He represents our clients who are engaged in disputes involving estate and trust matters in judicial and non-judicial forums and he drafts and negotiates prenuptial agreements and separation agreements. He joined our firm as an associate in 1999, and became a partner in 2001. Prior to joining our firm, he was an associate attorney at Carb, Luria, Cook & Kufeld, LLP.
Mr. Lese is a graduate of Cornell University and Columbia Law School. He received his Masters in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
