Mr. Foret has an extensive background with the procurement, perfection, enforcement and leveraging of domestic and international patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets in a wide variety of industries. His experience includes transactional practice in areas of due diligence, licensing of technology and transferring ownership of intellectual property. He also handles patent and trademark litigation in federal court, administrative actions in opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and domain name disputes before ICANN-approved arbitration forums.
Mr. Foret's patent practice experience includes preparation and prosecution of United States provisional, utility and design applications, PCT international applications, development of global patent procurement and enforcement strategies, and preparation of patentability and validity opinions. The representative arts in which Mr. Foret has exposure include the areas of medical devices, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and other novel inventions.
