Tommy Siniard is a Huntsville personal injury lawyer with more than forty years of experience. For more than thirty years, he has practiced exclusively personal injury law, representing people who have been in car accidents, trucking accidents, slip and fall accidents, and representing those who have suffered complications from medical negligence. Originally from Gadsden, Alabama, Tommy grew up in a blue-collar family. His father worked 43 years at the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. tire plant and missed only thirteen days of work during that time period. When Tommy went to law school, he made a promise to his father that he would always represent working people instead of companies and corporations. Tommy has held true to that promise his entire career. He only represents people in their fight against insurance companies for fair compensation. Tommy attended the University of Alabama School of Law, graduating in 1980. He moved to Huntsville following law school and began practicing law with esteemed trial attorney Harvey Morris. In 1991, Tommy started a solo personal injury law office that eventually grew to be the largest personal injury firm in Huntsville. In 2022, Tommy and his son Bart started their own law firm, Siniard Law, LLC.

Barnes Heyward is a natural – a personal injury trial lawyer with a remarkable record of securing seven-figure results for personal injury victims, both in and out of the courtroom. His confidence inside the courtroom stems from a deep conviction that his clients’ stories deserve to be heard, particularly when facing well-funded insurance companies determined to keep their clients’ negligence hidden. After graduating from Cumberland School of Law, Barnes Heyward began his career representing injured clients under the tutelage of the Honorable S.A. Watson, Jr., a renowned trial lawyer whose influence shaped Barnes’ dedication to meticulous trial preparation. This unwavering commitment has consistently translated into exceptional outcomes for clients whether at the negotiation table or before a jury. In 2025, Barnes joined Siniard Law and partners Tommy and Bart Siniard, whose track record and commitment to serving North Alabama align perfectly with Barnes’ own values. The lawyers at Siniard Law believe in client-focused practice where clients’ needs are heard and met, and Barnes wouldn’t have it any other way.

I could tell you about a $1 million medical malpractice settlement, the resolution of a car wreck for $200,000, or throw a lot of different case resolutions at you. However, if you’re reading this, you’re probably more interested in who I am and how I operate. I come from a family with a long history of helping people who cannot help themselves or who need someone to stand in their corner. My greatest concern for my injured clients and their families is that they have all the information needed to understand their case. The complexities of the law leave several people without an ability to recover from their injuries.

One of the best cross-examinations I have ever heard was done by Ralph Hornsby, Jr. He and Bud Watson were trying a highly publicized nursing home case. The courtroom was full of spectators every day. Law firms were sending summer interns and associates to watch because of the high level of trial skills on both sides and because of the expected verdict. Ralph, Jr. was cross-examining the manager of the nursing home. He knew she had six points of vulnerability. He hit them. He was gentlemanly, but he was forceful. It was really a professional job. When the case was over, a verdict of over five million dollars came and Bud Watson left a copy of that cross-examination transcript in Ralph, Jr.s’ office chair with a note that he should save it for his grand kids. That was early in Ralph, Jr.’s career with the firm. He is not much older than I am and had graduated with a great record from the University of Alabama, School of Law, only a few years before I did but he was handling high level litigation and doing it with real skill. Things seem to come easy to Ralph, Jr. He has a great personality and nearly always gets more in negotiations than others might because he has such a great way of interacting with people. Ralph, Jr. and I have tried a number of cases together and that personality is always an asset with the Court and with jurors. Ralph has achieved seven figure results in numerous negotiations but more importantly he has had that happen many times in court. It’s not just personality though. Ralph, Jr. is a great student of the law and, as that cross-examination demonstrated, a highly competent trial lawyer. He is a graduate of the National College of Trial Advocacy, he’s been inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates, and has been selected into Super Lawyers. But even more significant in this business, Ralph, Jr. really cares about his clients and wants to help them. That’s the part about him I most want to emulate. Ralph graduated high in his class at the University of Alabama, School of Law in 1992. Ralph, Jr. is a member of the Alabama State Bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a member of the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association and the Alabama Association for Justice. He also serves as a Barrister in the Madison County American Inns of Court. Ralph is married to Betty. They have twin girls and a son.
