After completing her undergraduate studies, Victoria moved to Phoenix to attend law school at Arizona State University. During her time as a student, she contributed to the legal community as a Note and Comment Editor for Jurimetrics: The Journal of Law, Science, and Technology. Her interest in the intersection of these topics led her to study the impact of Neuroscientific Evidence in courtrooms. Through these endeavors, Victoria earned her school’s Law, Science and Technology Certificate. In addition to her studies, Victoria gained practical experience as a Limited Practice Student Attorney in ASU’s post-conviction clinic. There, she investigated claims of wrongful conviction and manifest injustice and drafted petitions for post-conviction relief. During her time at the clinic, she was proud to work on a successful clemency case, where she helped reunite a man with his family after over a decade of incarceration. As an attorney, Victoria approaches each case with determination and optimism. She is committed to advocating for her clients with integrity and empathy, and she strives to make a positive impact in every case she handles. Kristen Curry has been certified as a Criminal Law Specialist through the State Bar of Arizona for the past 25 years and has extensive jury trial and litigation experience. Kristen handles criminal cases, including both felony and misdemeanor matters, DUI cases, criminal appeals and post-conviction relief. Since 1998, Kristen has been teaching other attorneys statewide how to effectively challenge illegal searches in criminal cases. Her written materials on the subject have also been provided to Superior Court judges during judicial training. Kristen, along with the firm, has been given the highest rating by her legal peers, AV, in the Martindale-Hubbell national legal directory. In addition, Kristen is listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. The Bar Register is a unique guide to the legal community's most eminent professionals. Frederick C. Thomas (“Fred”) has lived in Arizona for nearly thirty consecutive years, except for six years living in California. Fred went to Deer Valley High School in Glendale, Arizona. He graduated from Arizona State University where he obtained a degree in political science. During college, Fred interned with former US Senator Jon Kyl. After graduating college, he worked for American Family Insurance for three years. Realizing that life as an insurance adjuster was not for him, Fred attended the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. Fred is licensed in Arizona, California, and Colorado. Fred is also licensed in each California Federal District Court, the Arizona Federal District Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Fred has been practicing law since December 2003. Fred has practiced personal injury law since first becoming a lawyer. He has also represented individuals in habeas corpus matters ensuring that every individual received the Constitutional protections we all deserve. Fred’s knowledge and experience as a former insurance adjuster gives him an invaluable asset to his injury clients, he knows how the adjuster thinks, so he can be one step ahead of them. Fred also represents licensed contractors in various scenarios, whether defending their rights before the Registrar of Contractors or enforcing a mechanic’s lien and assisting in collecting unpaid contracts. Currently, Fred is a member of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association, a former President of the North Phoenix Bar Association, and a member of BNI Arizona, and was on the State Bar of Arizona’s Ethics Committee. Mark Andersen is the managing partner of ANDERSEN PLLC. Mark established ANDERSEN PLLC in December 2013 with a vision: (1) to serve families and provide support during times of transition or death of a loved one, (2) to improve the quality of life of those who are no longer able to provide for their own needs, (3) to create order in the estate plans of individuals and to observe their intent, and (4) to promote the visions of other small business owners. Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Arizona State University in 1999. In a prior career in public accounting that began in 1999, Mark audited large and small businesses, and provided due diligence with regard to purchases of other businesses. He worked as a staff auditor for Ernst & Young in Phoenix for two years, and passed the CPA exam in November of 2000. While in law school in Chicago, Mark advised clients on commercial real estate transactions as a senior consultant for RSM McGladrey. Mark began practicing law in the area of trusts and estates in 2006. From there, he branched into other areas of law, including guardianships, conservatorships and estate litigation. Mark graduated from the DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, IL in 2005. He was admitted to the Illinois bar later that year, and passed the Arizona bar in July of 2006. After four Chicago winters, Mark had enough and moved his family, which includes his wife (Katie) and two fun-loving kids (Gracie and Brian), back home to Arizona, where they can spend more time with both sets of grandparents. Daughters Rosie and Lottie came along in the years that followed. There are few things that mean as much to Mark as seeing families get along and honor their parents.

Mr. Holzer became licensed in the State of Arizona in December of 2007. In January of 2008 he began working for Wattel and York, LLC (“Wattel and York”) a firm specializing in personal injury claims. There, Mr. Holzer engaged in all aspects of litigating personal injury claims, including discovery, conducting and defending depositions, arbitrations, settlement conferences, mediations, motion practice, and post-settlement lien resolution and settlement disbursements. Mr. Holzer also tried several jury trials as either first or second chair. Mr. Holzer routinely oversaw over one hundred litigation cases at a time, supervising a dozen paralegals/support staff. In 2011, Mr. Holzer successfully argued in front of the Arizona, establishing legal precedent related to the ability for accidentvictims to seek a claim for diminished value. In January of 2012, Mr. Holzer left Wattel and York to become in-house counsel, COO, and CFO of National Health Finance, LLC, (“NHF”), where Mr. Holzer oversaw the day-to-day operations of a company engaged in the purchase of medical debt related to personal injury patients treated on a lien basis. When Mr. Holzer started with NHF, the company had a total of seven employees, and just over 10mm in open accounts receivable. Over the next four years, Mr. Holzer helped grow the company to over 120mm in open accounts receivable and twenty-five employees, including a robust legal department. Mr. Holzer’s duties as CFO included monthly financial reconciliation and reporting to the bank, and yearly audit compliance. After successfully guiding NHF to partial equity sale in the first half of 2016, Mr. Holzer left NHF to start his own personal injury firm, as well as a successful consulting business providing services to medical providers that treat personal injury patients in Texas, Florida, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. At his law firm, Mr.Holzer has been in charge of all aspects of pursuing claims, including the administration and oversight of the law firm’s operating and IOLTA accounts. Over the last sixteen years, Mr. Holzer has gained invaluable knowledge and experience in both how to properly pursue a personal injury claim, as well as how to run a successful business. His financial experience, as well as experience working with medical providers to enforce medical liens and pursue payment of medical debt will complement the knowledge and experience of Mr. Colcord in order to provide key insight and advantage for clients of the ABS.
