Duane Frizell was born in El Paso, Texas and raised in West Texas and Southern New Mexico. He has practiced in trial and appellate courts in Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas. His practice involves civil appeals, commercial and business litigation, real estate litigation, immigration, and other types of litigation and disputes.

Mr. Frizell graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law with university honors. While in law school, he served as the Executive Articles Editor of the Maryland Law Review.

After law school, Mr. Frizell served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Pamela B. Minzner, Justice of the Supreme Court of New Mexico. He has been in private practice since the end of his clerkship.

In addition to his interests in litigation and civil appeals, Mr. Frizell keeps abreast of international legal developments. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, has a Master's degree in International and Area Studies (with a focus on Asian Studies), and has been involved in cases with parties from around the globe.
