About R.
Matt Reeves is the Senior Litigation Associate at Andersen, Tate & Carr, P.C. His practice covers a wide range of matters within the areas of real estate litigation, commercial litigation, and probate litigation, including representing landowners in zoning and eminent domain matters. Mr. Reeves is a veteran of years of contested cases at the trial and appellate level in Georgia's state and federal courts.
In addition to representing clients in matters involving the government, Mr. Reeves served as Counsel to Representative Wendell Willard, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, during the 2008 Georgia General Assembly, and continued his experience in government by serving as a participant in the Georgia General Assembly's efforts to modernize the State of Georgia's evidence rules. Mr. Reeves is the Vice President of the Gwinnett County Bar Association and previously served as a district representative for the State of Georgia's Younger Lawyers Division.
As an active member of the local community, Mr. Reeves was appointed to the Duluth Ethics Board and Duluth Parks and Recreation Board by the City of Duluth's Mayor and Council. He is also a member of the Duluth Merchants Association, is an active supporter of the Duluth Fall Festival, and is a mock trial coach as Wesleyan School.
While in law school, Mr. Reeves served as a Third-Year Practice Prosecutor in the District Attorney's Office for Georgia's Northern Judicial Circuit and was a Joseph Henry Lumpkin Inn of Court Pupil. Prior to law school, Mr. Reeves served as a campaign aide to U.S. Senator (then U.S. Representative) Saxby Chambliss, as a student employee of the Civil Division, U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Georgia, and as a U.S. House of Representatives Page, sponsored by the late U.S. Representative Tillie K. Fowler of Florida.
Mr. Reeves and his wife, Suzette Belote Reeves, son (Paul) and daughters (Susannah and Sarabeth) live in Duluth and attend Duluth First United Methodist Church.
