Steve Ferrell spent 24 years practicing with a well known Houston defense firm before joining Doyle Raizner, LLP. Now, instead of defending large corporations and insurance companies, Steve helps families and individuals who have been harmed by the wrongful conduct of large corporations and insurance companies.

Steve is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has tried more than 50 jury trials to verdict as Lead Counsel in urban and rural courthouses throughout the State of Texas. Cases which Steve has tried to verdict have involved Aquatics Safety, Breach of Contract, Catastrophic Accidents, Damages caused by Drunk Drivers, Construction Defects, Corporate Negligence, Industrial Injuries, Insurance Bad Faith, Police Brutality, Longshoremen, Premises Liability, Toxic Exposures, Transportation cases involving 18 Wheeler Accidents, Wrongful Death, Wrongful Seizure of Assets, and other complex issues.

Steve has been honored by his peers on both sides of the docket (plaintiff and defense) by his election to the rank of "Advocate" in the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Steve has also been named a "Life Fellow" by the Texas and Houston Bar Foundations. He has received Martindale Hubble's highest peer rating ("AV") and he has also been named a "Texas Super Lawyer" three times in a statewide bar poll. Steve has been consistently rated "Superb" (the highest possible
rating) by the lawyer rating service Avvo.com. Steve is a member of the Texas Association of Civil Trial and Appellate Specialists (TACTAS), and he was recently inducted as a Fellow by the Litigation Counsel of America.

A Native Texan, Steve was born 100 yards from the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. After attending public schools in San Antonio, and New Braunfels, Texas, Steve obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1982, and his law degree from the University of Houston in 1985.
