Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I have been attempting to collect past due child support in excess of $50,000 from an individual that resided in another State. While he was in Illinois on a business trip, I was able to obtain service upon the obligor and have been able to collect a significant amount of the past due support for my client.
How did you build a successful practice?
I networked with attorneys in my area and offered assistance on their cases in any form necessary to build my practice and reputation. I also volunteered a significant amount of time as a pro bono attorney and on different committees.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Clients should seek an attorney that will give them realistic expectations of the time a matter may take, potential litigation costs, and realistic outcomes to make the most informed decisions.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
It is very important to know the local judges and how each judge generally rules on the different issues.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
I can provide information regarding the process to start and complete different legal matters, basic statutory and legal interpretation of the various legal matters and potential outcomes.

The information needed depends on the individual case but financial and personal information and the parties' history are the starting points.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I am very conscious of the costs of litigation and take steps to resolve the case without litigation whenever necessary. I also offer early morning and evening consultations in consideration of work schedules for my clients.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
I am always happy when I can achieve the client's goals.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
I am an avid runner, baker and belly dancer.
