About Rebecca

Rebecca C. Padilla represents clients in matters of Social Security disability at the administrative and appellate levels. She is a recent admittee to the California Bar and over the course of her preparation to become an attorney has demonstrated a commitment to helping those in need. While in law school she served as Vice President of the Public Interest Law Committee and was also an active member of the Latino Law Student Association. She was awarded a scholarship with the Mexican American Bar Foundation for demonstrating excellent academic leadership and a commitment to service within the Latino community. In 2004 she clerked at the Public Defender's office in Buenos Aires, Argentina. While in Argentina, she also performed extensive research on constitutional and human rights issues. In 2005 she clerked for Bet Tzedek Legal Services in its Employment Rights Project where she represented clients in overtime and wage claims at the Division of Labor Standards and Enforcement.

Ms. Padilla earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law and her Bachelor's degree in Sociology-Law & Society from the University of California at Davis.
