Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I feel that I have made a big difference in many cases. That being said, I think that my elderly clients make me feel that I've really made a difference. Most of them are without family or friends. Having someone that truly cares about them and someone who is willing to help them and listen along the way makes a huge difference in both of our lives.
How did you build a successful practice?
Long hours, patience and hard work.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Your lawyer should be someone that you are completely comfortable with and someone that you like talking to. You should never feel intimidated by or inferior to your lawyer. Personality is key when choosing a lawyer.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
There are situation where a familiarity with the Judge hearing a case can be beneficial.

Basic Information - Cost, Advice, Etc.

A complete picture of the situation.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I am the one person in the room that you would never imagine being a lawyer. I don't fit in to the stuffy lawyer stereotype and I always try to accommodate specific situations.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Every thank you and hug that I receive.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
I enjoy horseback riding and snowmobiling.
Are you involved in your community?
Yes, I volunteer regularly at my child's school and am a Brownie Troop Leader.
