REGINA GILGUN RYAN
Regina Ryan has been associated with Louison, Costello, Condon & Pfaff, LLP since 1993 and was named a Principal with the firm in 2007. She specializes in litigation defense for public sector clients. Her area of practice is concentrated in the defense of clients in the United States District Court of Massachusetts, Massachusetts State courts and numerous administrative agencies including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and the Civil Service Commission. Attorney Ryan also represents public employees in all aspects of labor disputes.
Attorney Ryan's clients include Massachusetts municipalities, municipal employees, school departments and police officers in defending against the civil rights laws of the United States and Massachusetts (42 U.S.C., 1983, et al.; M.G.L. c 12), and under State and Federal anti-discrimination laws (Title VII and M.G.L. c. 151B), and general negligence claims.
In this capacity, Attorney Ryan has successfully tried cases in the State and Federal courts of Massachusetts and as well as state administrative agencies. She has also successfully argued appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Further, Attorney Ryan has considerable experience with all forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution and with conventional settlement negotiations .
