About Rhonda
Ms. Zimmerman has been practicing law in Broward County since 1991. She is a Florida Bar licensed attorney, and a member of the Elder Law section. She is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Rhonda grew up in Oceanside, New York. She received an academic scholarship to attend Hofstra University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1984. She received a merit scholarship to attend the University of Miami School of Law, and graduated with a JD degree in 1987.
Ms. Zimmerman worked as a Managing Partner at a law firm for over 10 years, and represented most of the major hospitals in the south Florida region. Throughout her career as a sole practitioner, she practiced in the various areas of law including contracts, collections, and probate learning the many of the requirements in to become a qualified Florida Elder Care Lawyer.
Rhonda first became interested in Senior and Elder Law issues when her stepfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease in 2013. After assisting her mother with the Medicaid process, she made a commitment to pursue become a Florida Elder Care Lawyer. Her firm is primarily focused on Medicaid Planning, Estate Planning, and Asset Protection. She is a member of the Alzheimer’s Association and the American Cancer Society and is committed to her clients as a Florida Elder Care Lawyer
