Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

I tried a disability discrimination case against a very large company which did not conduct a fair and impartial investigation of my client's claims. We prevailed on the disability related claims and obtained injunctive relief against the company regarding how they were to investigate similar future claims.

How did you build a successful practice?

By providing quality legal services with a personal touch. I respond to client inquiries within 24 hours. I have had many clients refer others to me.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Solid experience in the type of claims being brought, good personal skills, patience to explain things to the client, and the ability to take a case to trial.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Very important. You need to know about your judge and his/her tendencies regarding the type of case you have. Same goes for opposing counsel.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

Whether it appears that valid claims exist.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

Initial and abbreviated facts regarding what happened to the client.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

I have a vast amount of trial experience as a federal/state prosecutor, including murder cases, and in civil cases. I also have great people skills.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Helping people recover their lives and seeing them accomplish things as a result of the money I was able to obtain for them.

Are you involved in your community?

Yes. I was formerly the President of a local American Cancer Society chapter and served on its County Board. I was formerly the President of a support group for a home/medical facility for seniors.
