Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

Represented Father in a "move-away" case. Legal issue was "Sole Physical Custody" v. "Joint Physical Custody". Mother removed the parties two (2) minor children from area without Father's consent. Two (2) Trial resulted in Mother being ordered to return the parties children back to home County and children re-enrolled in their school. Judge applied the "best interests" of the children.

How did you build a successful practice?

When I commenced practice, attorney advertising was prohibited. Successful practice was due to hard work, honesty and word of mouth.

Knowledge and candor.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Knowing the actors, such as Judges, Clerks, Minor's Counsel, Mediator, other attorneys, etc.) is quite important.

Qualified as an Aircraft Commander by the US Coast Guard. Past Adjunct Professor in Aviation Law and Criminal Justice at National University, San Diego, California. Lifetime California Community College Teacher in Law.

Yes. Active volunteer Pilot in the EAA Young Eagles Program. Free aircraft rides for children from ages 8 to 17. Their first flight experience.
