About Robert
Our philosophy and our practice is to prepare each case we accept for trial and then and only then discuss case settlement. Both sides must know that the choice is trial or settlement to properly resolve a case for its full and fair value. This is what helps secure a solid recovery for someone injured or killed by negligence.

Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I am thrilled to have helped an employee severely injured at work on a new product being demonstrated by a defendant to his employer and was able work to a combination of nearly a 7 figure product settlement, a workers compensation and related settlements to help him move forward AND a to have helped a youngster badly injured in an auto accident recover 7 figures .
How did you build a successful practice?
By initially doing everything asked of me, shadowing and being mentored by a great trial lawyer, servicing clients with always following a \\\"how does this best help their case\\\" attitude and doing the same with lawyers generous enough to refer their clients to me by asking how does this best serve their client and my client for that case. The substantial trial and appellate experience and the 1,000s of client interviews and depositions led to a successful practice.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
A lawyer who has actually tried cases - of that type involved with that client preferably - and has sat many times waiting for juries to return verdicts in cases.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Very
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
We can often get to the nub of the case; I discuss what happened in terms of the accident and injuries, witnesses and insurance company contacts with the potential client.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
The Who, What and Where of the events - and How, Why and When too!
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
Experience on both sides of cases - for the insurers and later for the claimants - and experience trying those kinds of cases successfully. And listening to clients and making it clear that they are the focus and are important - not the lawyer. Those are the qualities I use to judge other lawyers.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
A successful result where the client is so relieved and appreciative for the work and nuanced effort that brings the result to fruition.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
My family, kids and grandkiddos, tennis, golf and reading.
Are you involved in your community?
I served as a town meeting member, town committees member, President of a Little League and of a Gridiron Club. Active Rotary member! And past Board of Directors of the Northeast Accessible Golf Association - Golf for All.
