About Robert

Mr. Opalka is a family law practitioner with substantial litigation experience. He is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar as well as the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Bucks County Bar Association.

In addition to his family law practice, Mr. Opalka has represented a broad spectrum of individual and corporate clients. He worked on behalf of the Major League Umpires' Association and the Professional Association of Golf Officials. Although family law is his primary focus, Mr. Opalka has experience in a number of areas, including: contracts; defamation; wrongful termination; wrongful death; sports and entertainment law; college and university law; and complex insurance coverage and bad faith actions. He has maintained continuing legal representation of Major League Baseball umpire Joe West for a patented umpire's chest protector, bringing successful actions on his behalf for trademark and patent infringement and negotiating a licensing agreement with Wilson Sporting Goods.

Mr. Opalka's varied experiences have given him a unique perspective in the field of family law. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants alike. He is equally proficient at negotiating a settlement or preparing and litigating a property, custody or support matter. He strives to give clients the opportunity to make informed choices relating to their individual family law matters.

Mr. Opalka received his B.S. in Sociology as well as his law degree from Villanova University.
