Slip in Fall in a parking lot, the client had fallen but had a history of prior Back and Neck surgery within the last 5 years from a previous fall. The company first denied opening a claim for the client and would not give her any information. I made a few calls and got the insurance company info. Then they wanted to limit to their MED PAY - NO FAULT Offer of $5,000. About a year latter we settled with them for $225,000, the client was very happy.

It was based on client relationship, starting off doing a good job for the client so they would be happy. Knowing how to help the client with their problem and if not getting them to someone that could help them. Keeping the client informed and calling the client with updates directly.

Does the attorney have the time to do their case personally and the experience. While calling around a few attorney over the phone see if you actually get to speak to the attorney or do you just get to speak to the assistant every time. Does the attorney make time to actually get to know your case, reply to your calls and emails and text, does the attorney care about you and your case. I never take more than my client can recover and willing to lower my fees in cases were liability is disputed and contributory, I take cases to help build a relationship with the client and to get future referrals not just see how much money I can make from one case.

I show the client a complete breakdown with all amounts, bills and reductions and provide copies of all checks to verify payments made - I do the same with all the doctors to everyone knows the same info and is treated fairly- we all work together as a team on your case.

Having a client thank me for working on their case and getting a phone call years later- yes I do remember your case most of the time and thank you for the referral again.

I love doing stuff with my family, going to the sporting events, club soccer with the kids and church. I like to stay home with my pets and plant in the garden, and I collect coins.
