About Sandra
Sandra L. Maass is a partner with the firm and a member of the firm's business, estate planning and employment departments. She joined the firm in 1987. Ms. Maass focuses her practice on business, employment law and estate planning.
Ms. Maass began her legal career as a business litigator with the firm and developed substantial experience in the interpretation and enforcement of numerous business agreements, shareholder disputes, leases, collection disputes and contested estate matters. Ms. Maass' legal practice has evolved into a business practice operating as general counsel to business owners to provide creative cost effective business planning solutions for day to day legal issues.
Ms. Maass also assists clients in developing the necessary estate plans to meet the needs of clients for business succession planning or to achieve the client's personal financial goals.
In her employment and labor practice, Ms. Maass devotes much of her time to counseling businesses on how to comply with the many legal requirements employers encounter. Ms. Maass also defends clients in all employment law areas including OSHA issues, discrimination and employee contracts before administrative agencies, state and appellate courts.
Ms. Maass received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Creighton University in 1985 and her Juris Doctor from the Creighton University School of Law, Cum Laude, in 1987. While in law school, she received the Outstanding Oralist Award in the 1984 Moot Court competition and was also a member of the Law Review and Moot Court Board.
In 2005 Ms. Maass was selected as the Woman of the Year in Business for the Omaha YWCA, and in 1995, Ms. Maass was selected as one of the "Ten Outstanding Young Omahans" by the Omaha Jaycees. In 2001, Ms. Maass was accepted and graduated as a member of Leadership Omaha, Class 23. Ms. Maass has an "AV" rating in Martindale Hubbell.
