About Sara
Sara Harris represents numerous partnerships, limited liability companies and individuals in the purchase, sale and financing of large real estate projects throughout the United States. Her expertise includes projects ranging from 100 to 1,500 unit multifamily apartment complexes to shopping centers, ground leases and development projects. Oftentimes, these transactions involve the formation of legal entities to acquire property and tax-deferred exchanges, including reverse exchanges.
Sara also represents court appointed receivers in cases brought by the Department of Corporations, Department of Real Estate, Federal Trade Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as lending institutions. She has been successful in locating and returning real property and money found in the United States and other countries to both receivership estates and claimants alike. During her career, Sara also has represented clients involved in business, real estate litigation and foreclosure proceedings.
Representative Transactions:
- Assisted various clients in the successful closing of the following related transactions: 1) sale of development property for $22,500,000, 2) the purchase of a large industrial building which involved numerous environmental issues and a like-kind reverse exchange, and 3) the purchase of numerous commercial properties with triple net leases totaling a purchase price of over $37,000,000.
