Scott M. Emonet is a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is married to Brooke Vreeland of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After graduating from Catholic High School in Baton Rouge, Mr. Emonet earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Louisiana State University. He was a member of Acacia Fraternity and President of General College Student Council. Mr. Emonet graduated from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge. While attending Southern University Law Center, Mr. Emonet was a member of Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity and President of the Louisiana Trial Lawyers, Student Chapter. Mr. Emonet is licensed by the Louisiana State Bar and is also licensed to practice before the Eastern, Middle and Western U. S. District Courts of Louisiana. Mr. Emonet is an active member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, American Bar Association, Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association and Criminal Defense Lawyers of Louisiana. Scott M. Emonet worked for Murphy Law Firm from 1999 to 2016.  In 2016, Mr. Emonet opened up Balfour Emonet Law Firm with now 19th Judicial DIstrict Judge Kelly Balfour.  Mr Emonet focuses extensively on personal injury and property damage claims.  Balfour Emonet Law Firm is comprised of Mr. Emonet, Jennifer Moisant and Philip House.  Jennifer Moisant handles family matters and Philip House handles criminal defense and personal injury.
