About Scott
Scott joined Guelzow and Winston, Ltd. in January 2009 as an associate attorney specializing in estate planning, expanding the services available to the firm's clients.
Scott was born and lived in Appleton, Wisconsin until he was five years old when his family moved to Eau Claire. He grew up in Eau Claire and graduated from North High School.
Scott served in the United States Army Reserve while attending the University of Wisconsin- Madison. His studies were interrupted when he was called to active duty during the Persian Gulf War. Scott graduated from UW-Madison with a bachelors of business administration degree, majoring in Accounting and Urban Land Economics.
Scott's first job was with International Paper in Memphis, Tennessee where he worked as a financial analyst and internal auditor. Realizing that he missed the Midwest, he moved back to the area by accepting employment as an internal auditor with United Healthcare in Edina, Minnesota. Scott transferred within United Healthcare to work with their Medicare and commercial products.
In 2002, Scott was married to Angie and began attending law school at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul. While in law school, Scott focused his studies on estate planning with the goal to make estate planning his life's work. After completing law school in 2005, Scott began working as an associate attorney in La Crosse, Wisconsin at Johns, Flaherty & Collins, S.C., where he remained until joining Guelzow & Winston, Ltd.
Scott and Angie were blessed with the birth of their twins, Lorraine Alice and Charles Robert in May 2007. Scott and Angie enjoy spending time in northern Wisconsin where Scott participates in hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities.
