About Scott

For many years Scott Krueger has represented and helped individuals and businesses with their tax, business, and estate planning needs. His client roster includes accountants, physicians, engineers, attorneys, entrepreneurs, professors, and "mom and pop" businesses, and numerous small to medium sized local businesses in the Gainesville, Ocala and north Florida area.

Before venturing out on his own, Scott Krueger worked in Washington, D.C. for the globally prominent accounting firm of KPMG (formerly Peat Marwick & Mitchell). Scott first worked as a certified public accountant and financial auditor, and then as a corporate and business tax C.P.A. in KPMG's tax department.

Scott Krueger's background of accounting, tax and business, coupled with his diligence and acumen, affords his clients the ability to confront today's legal challenges. It is Scott's focus to utilize the countless number of laws, rules and regulations to positively affect his clients' lives, businesses, and estate planning.

Community & Personal

Being a part of the community, and giving back is important to Mr. Krueger. In his spare time, Scott has the good fortune to serve as Buchholz High School's Girls Junior Varsity Head Basketball Coach.  In his five years as head coach, Scott Krueger teams were district, county and city champions three times each, and they have won more than three quarters of their games (even though Buchholz is the only north Florida high school to be zoned to play bigger Jacksonville schools).

Additionally, Scott has previously coached for a number of years for the City of Gainesville and at the Girls Club of Alachua County. Scott has helped coach these teams to championships in four years, and was runner up on one other occasion. He has also coached traveling boy's select basketball teams for several years as part of the Gainesville Stampede, having these teams often ranked in the State of Florida's top ten.

One of Mr. Krueger's favorite teams, however, was a city team of 9-10 year olds that had a winning percentage of slightly over 50%, but over achieved in almost every way possible.  As he and his assistant often proclaimed, "those kids were a true team of champions."

Basketball is his fun time, and he loves the competitive and intellectual challenge of the game. Most importantly, however, Coach Krueger applies his legal skills to teach his players the value (and fun) of hard work, the benefits of planning and attention to detail, and foremost, the ability of the players to be able to make good, sound judgments on the spot, whether it is on, or off, the court. Hopefully, all of these players will be future leaders in some way, and the experience of participating in basketball will make them better people.
