Scott Simpson is an associate at Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Greenberg, Formato & Einiger, LLP in its Rochester office. Mr. Simpson is admitted to practice in New York.
Mr. Simpson concentrates his practice on advising healthcare providers on regulatory matters; federal and State fraud and abuse laws; government surveys, audits and investigations; corporate compliance; HIPAA; patient-related legal issues; medical staff issues; psychiatric commitment issues; and many other medical/legal and regulatory issues. He also represents pharmaceutical companies with regard to FDA regulatory matters and clinical trial issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Simpson was an associate at Nixon Peabody LLP, where he co-authored Outsourcing Care: Medical Tourism is the Globalization of the American Operating Room , New York Law Journal (December 17, 2007). Also, during law school, Mr. Simpson authored a Comment on violence in secondary schools, published in the Winter 2005 edition of the Buffalo Law Review.
Mr. Simpson received his J.D. cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross. He is a member of the American Health Lawyers' Association and the Health Law Section of the New York State Bar Association.
