Thomas P. Heeney, Jr. was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (1967) and was raised in Doylestown, Buck County, PA where he attended and graduated from Central Bucks High School East (1986). While in high school, Mr. Heeney was a standout cross country and track and field runner. Mr. Heeney is also an Eagle Scout, a recipient of the Union League of Philadelphia Good Citizenship Award and a recipient of the Good Citizenship Award from the Bucks County Chamber of Commerce. Educationally, Mr. Heeney attended Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania where he earned both a Bachelor of Science Degree (1990) and a Master’s Degree (1991) in Public Administration. Thereafter, Mr. Heeney earned his Juris Doctorate from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in Cleveland, Ohio (1995). Professionally, Thomas P. Heeney, Jr., Esquire is the founder and principal attorney of Heeney & Associates, P.C. (2001). Jimmy Chong is admitted to the bars of Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey and in the District Courts of Washington DC, Delaware, and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He has offices in Wilmington, DE, Lansdale, PA and Philadelphia, PA. He focuses his practice on personal injury law but has handled a variety of other types of law including business transactions, landlord tenant law, contract law and criminal law. Mr. Chong has been rated by Super Lawyers in both Pennsylvania and Delaware, the National Trial Lawyers Association and the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. He is presently a member of the Board of Directors at Penn Asian Senior Services, Philip Jaison Memorial Foundation and has served as a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Korean American Association of Greater Philadelphia. He has acted as general counsel for the Korean American Grocers Association of Philadelphia. He earned his JD from Widener University School of Law which is presently known as Delaware Law School and his Estate Planning Certificate through the LLM Graduate Tax Program at Temple University Beasley School of Law. He has completed certificate courses with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. He earned his BS in Business Management and BA in Economics from Bucknell University while earning the Bucknell Scholarship all four years he attended the university. He was born and raised in the State of Delaware, lived in Philadelphia, PA for many years but now resides with his family in Montgomery County, PA.

The firm’s principal attorney, Nigel S. Scott, Esquire, began his legal training in the Delaware County Office of the Public Defender, where he represented indigent defendants charged with criminal offenses. Nigel then represented the citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a prosecutor in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. There he continued to hone his trial advocacy skills prosecuting misdemeanors and minor felonies. The combined experience allowed Nigel to gain valuable insight and training with regards to both defending and prosecuting criminal cases in Philadelphia and neighboring jurisdictions. Nigel took the experience, skills, and training he acquired in the criminal courtroom and applied them to civil trials as well, zealously protecting the rights of clients who were injured by the negligence of others. With very little advertising, Nigel has been able to develop a growing practice based largely on the word of mouth referrals of satisfied clients, as well as fellow attorneys familiar with the quality of his work and the depth of his commitment to equal justice. As part of our commitment to equal justice, our firm dedicates a minimum of 50 hours each year to pro bono service, with Mr. Scott being named to the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania’s Pro Bono Honor Roll for each of the past five years. Chris Johnson is a native of Philadelphia and graduated from the William Penn Charter School. He received an academic scholarship to the University of Delaware where he majored in Economics and also competed on the Division I Indoor & Outdoor Track & Field teams. He graduated from Widener University School of Law in December 2009 and immediately went into private practice with the firm of Shanese I. Johnson & Associates, P.C. Chris currently practices in the firm's Family Law, Real Estate, and Criminal Law practice areas. Even though Chris is fairly new to the practice of law, Chris has already represented hundreds of clients in local Family Law matters in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Delaware, Chester, and Berks counties. Chris prides himself on his commitment to serving his clients with excellence by providing experienced, detail oriented, high quality and affordable representation. Charlie Henke is the founding partner of Henke Law Firm, LLP, the predecessor to Henke, Williams & Boll, LLP. The firm was founded in 1992. The answer is almost always YES! Good cases are lost because people think things like: "I am in the right", "Everyone knows he did it", "I have witnesses". None of these things matter if you don't know how to get them in front of the Court, Judge, or Jury. Almost all Courts hold you to the same standard of knowledge of the laws and the rules as professional attorneys. This means that being right doesn't really matter.. This means even though everyone else knows he did it, you may not be able to tell the judge what everyone knows. And lastly, this means that even with witnesses you have to know how to have them properly found, noticed, served, subpoenaed, and professed to the opposing counsel in the proper time as required by law. It doesn't matter if it is criminal, civil, family, contract, whatever, the rules apply. Unless you are in a small claims or JP court, you need an attorney, Even then you have the advantage if you have an attorney. The old adage I use around my office when asked this question is "You can be the smartest, wisest, well known, good looking, and well read person in the world, but when going to Court without a lawyer you are the equivalent of the smartest, wisest, well known, good looking, and well read Roman slave or criminal in the ancient Coliseum where you are basically naked and unarmed and everyone else is either a wild animal or a well armored and well armed Gladiator."
