Welcome to Trias Mathis, P.A. My name is Larry Trias, and I am the founding partner of the firm. I focus my practice on car accident cases and insurance claims, helping individuals who are navigating some of the most challenging times in their lives. I began my legal career representing hurricane victims whose insurance companies severely undervalued the cost of repairing their homes. That experience shaped my commitment to standing up against powerful insurers and fighting for those who deserve fair compensation. Todd C. Barsumian has been named a Super Lawyer in the field of Plaintiff's Personal Injury by Super Lawyers Magazine since 2018. In 2017 he became the recipient of America's Top 100 Attorneys Lifetime Achievement Award. Prior to turning 40, he was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers on multiple occasions. Todd has also been selected to The National Trial Lawyers Association: Top 40 under 40 and The National Trial Lawyers Association has since been named Todd a “Top 100 Civil Plaintiff’s Attorney”. In 2018, he was also named to the Nation's Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. Todd started his legal career at a large Evansville law firm, where he was a litigation partner typically hired to defend claims brought by the injured, including multiple cases that made it to the Indiana Supreme Court. In 2010, he started Barsumian Law. In 2013, Todd returned to his roots, opening an office in his hometown of Newburgh. In 2018 he opened offices in Evansville and the Indianapolis suburb of Fishers and in 2021 he and Jonathan Armiger founded Barsumian Armiger Injury Lawyers. Since 2000, Todd has also been licensed in Kentucky, where he has handled cases from trial courts up to the Kentucky Supreme Court. Todd represented a severely injured child in a negligence and product liability case that prompted a national recall of a product purchased off the shelf of a Tri-State retailer. He once defended corporations in similar cases and counseled manufacturers on product safety and recall issues. Shortly after opening his Newburgh office, Todd was part of the trial team for a Gibson County man who was severely injured when the vehicle he was traveling in was struck by another vehicle that had disregarded a stop sign on a county road. After settling the case with the other driver’s insurance company, Todd and his co-counsel turned to his client’s own insurance company. When the insurer balked at paying much more than the man's medical expenses, they took the case to trial in Princeton and recovered their client’s full policy limits, roughly twice what had been offered. Todd has served as the Chair of Medical Review Panels in the past, but now represents victims of medical malpractice before the Indiana Department of Insurance and in courts in Indiana and Kentucky. He also routinely handles serious injuries caused by car accidents, truck accidents, slip and falls, and nursing home negligence, as well as wrongful death claims.

Ben has 22 years of experience representing clients in serious personal injury matters, disputed property insurance claims and other civil matters where people have been damaged through various forms of bad behavior. He has also represented several insurance companies in state and federal litigation in Florida. He is admitted to practice in both Florida and New Jersey, where he first began practicing law after attending Rutgers University for both his law and undergraduate degrees. He was an editor of the Rutgers Law Review during law school. Some of Ben’s reported matters include: Plastic Surgery Center, PA v. Malouf Chevrolet – Cadillac, Inc., 457 N.J. Super. 565 (App. Div. 2019) (setting precedent on the statute of limitations for medical provider claims under New Jersey Workers’ Compensation statutes) Mehta v. Fairleigh Dickinson University, 530 Fed. App’x. 191 (3rd Cir. 2013) (reversing summary judgment granted to private university on plaintiff’s racial discrimination claim) Capodici v. City of Jersey City, 2005 WL 2452698 (D.N.J. 2005) (denying summary judgment to police officers on plaintiff’s civil rights claims arising from an unlawful arrest) Ben was also honored to have been selected to defend a sitting Superior Court Judge in New Jersey against charges of misconduct brought by other members of the judiciary. The formal charges against her sought removal from the bench but after a trial before a panel of the New Jersey Supreme Court in Trenton, the charges were reduced to a two-month suspension. Ben moved to Pinellas County in 2018 and became a member of the Florida bar. He began practicing at a large downtown Tampa firm handling complex insurance coverage matters before joining the Magazine & Light Law Group (now Light & Wyatt) in 2022. Ben enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, and enjoying the rest of Tampa Bay

Rick W. Bisher is the son of a construction worker and factory seamstress. As Rick grew up, his father was being pushed up the ladder in his company, eventually becoming Vice-president. He taught Rick to "work hard and always do your best" to achieve your career goals. Mr. Fine was born in New York, New York and was raised in the northeast, where he studied sociology at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. He then graduated with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1976. In law school, he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, was inducted into the Order of the Coif, and graduated in the top 10 percent of his class. Mr. Fine was admitted into the Florida Bar in 1976, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida in 1977, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida in 1991, and the United States Court of Appeals 11th Circuit in 1982. Upon graduation, Mr. Fine practiced as an Assistant Public Defender in the Third Judicial Circuit office in Lake City from 1976-1977. He then worked as an Assistant Public Defender in the Gainesville office of the Public Defender from 1977-1980. In 1980, he founded the firm, which is now known as Fine, Farkash, & Parlapiano, P.A., where he wanted to exclusively represent victims of personal injury in claims against negligent parties. Mr. Fine is a highly experienced personal injury attorney and is recognized for his commitment to the law. He holds Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating* (AV) and was a Grievance Committee Chairman for the Eighth Judicial Circuit for 2006-2008. He coached a trial team for the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1994 and has taught as an adjunct faculty in the trial practice course at the law school since 1983.

Mark is a trial attorney and founder of Mark Casto Personal Injury Law Firm where he represents individuals or families who have suffered an injury or the loss of a loved one. Mark’s practice focus on injured persons expanded to include personal injury, workers compensation, Nursing Home Neglect and Abuse, medical malpractice and employment discrimination claims. Ten years later, in April 2016, Mark founded Mark Casto Personal Injury Law Firm on the premise of providing superior service to his clients. Believing that it is hypocritical to sue medical doctors when also asking these doctors to care for his personal injury and worker’s compensation clients, Mark will not file a claim against a doctor for medical malpractice, but rather the hospital or other negligent parties. Successful Appellate Practice Mark also has handled numerous cases on appeal. He has argued in person before the Georgia Supreme Court and Georgia Court of Appeals. He has never lost an appeal in which he was allowed to argue in person before the Appellate Judges.
