Alexander Laufer joined the firm in 1994. His practice is concentrated in civil litigation and real estate transactions, providing services in the areas of personal injury law, medical malpractice, construction law and employment law. Mr. Laufer grew up in Montreal, Canada but also lived and attended school in Jerusalem and Johannesburg, South Africa. He speaks four languages, English, French, Hungarian and Hebrew. Mr. Laufer graduated (cum laude) in 1972 from Loyola College and with High Honors from the University of Florida School of Law in 1976. Mr. Laufer has been an adjunct professor at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida and more recently at the Marymount University School of Business. He is a member of both the Virginia and Florida bars and is a Commissioner in Chancery in Fairfax County. Mr. Laufer has over 35 years of experience in complex litigation in both state and federal courts, including bankruptcy court and has handled thousands of residential and commercial real estate transactions. In recent years Mr. Laufer has litigated numerous cases involving noncompliance by residential builders with the federal Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act. In addition, Mr. Laufer has become a member of the Vaccine Injury Program Bar and the Federal Court of Claims Bar Association and is assisting families with members injured by vaccines, in obtaining compensation pursuant to the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, a federal program whichimmunizes (pun intended) pharmaceutical companies from suit, but substitutes a fund as an alternative. This is a relatively obscure and poorly understood program which, however, represents the only real recourse for those suffering injury from vaccines listed on the Vaccine Injury Table.

Darryl A. Goldberg is an aggressive criminal defense lawyer who represents those accused of the most serious criminal offenses in both federal and state courts. Based in Chicago, he regularly travels to other state and federal district and appellate courts to represent his clients, often in high profile cases. In the course of his criminal defense practice, his clients have included professional athletes, celebrities, doctors, lawyers, accountants, and law enforcement officers. Ari Trubitt is a Senior Associate Attorney at Sexner & Associates LLC and a life-long Chicago area resident who graduated from the University of Illinois and the John Marshall School of Law. He began his legal career as an intern at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and soon thereafter moved to a law firm from which he began practicing all manner of criminal defense from minor traffic offenses and misdemeanor cases up to first-degree murder. Within his first two years of practice, he had already been sworn into the Federal Bar for the Northern District of Illinois, the Eastern District of Wisconsin, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals; a remarkable accomplishment. During this time, he also appeared on behalf of hundreds of clients during deportation (removal) hearings and other clients in their efforts to obtain lawful citizenship status, using immigration knowledge that he still employs on a daily basis to assist non-citizens charged with criminal and traffic matters. A past member of the Illinois State Bar Association’s “Traffic Law and Courts Committee”, he has lectured at legal seminars and authored articles related to DUI law and the like. He has served the public as a member of the Judicial Evaluation Committee and as chairperson of those committees whose job it is to evaluate candidates for judicial positions and to rate them. At Sexner & Associates LLC, Mr. Trubitt is also the Senior Attorney in charge of Secretary of State Hearings. In this capacity, he represents clients charged with suspended and revoked licenses before the State of Illinois. His vast experience in this area has earned him a highly successful record of winning back driving privileges for hundreds of drivers.

David M. Stegall is a shareholder at Lawton & Cates who was admitted to the Wisconsin Bar in 2006 after graduating cum laude from Marquette University Law School. David began his legal career by working as an Assistant District Attorney in Milwaukee County. In his role as a prosecutor, David litigated hundreds of cases and served as the lead prosecutor in well over 40 jury trials ranging from minor misdemeanors through the most serious felony cases. David left the District Attorney’s office so he could focus on helping people achieve justice. In private practice, David focuses 100% on litigation. Put simply, David’s clients seek him out to represent and defend them when the stakes are the highest. Stacey has been a member of the firm since July 1, 2012. She had been a partner of another Fargo law firm for 15 years prior to joining Haugen Moeckel & Bossart. Her practice encompasses a number of areas of the law, where she represents both Plaintiffs and Defendants in various matters. Her practice areas center in personal injury, medical negligence, general litigation, probate, wills and estate work. She likewise serves as counsel to the Municipal Airport Authority of the City of Fargo.

Attorney Josh Tomsheck is a Partner in the Las Vegas Trial Lawyer firm of Hofland & Tomsheck and heads both the Criminal Trial and Personal Injury Practice Groups for the firm. Mr. Tomsheck is a veteran Las Vegas Trial lawyer who has chosen to commit his practice to fighting for the rights of others who have been injured or charged with crimes. Attorney Wesley Evans is a 1994 graduate of the George Washington University Law Center. Attorney Evans began his practice under the tutelage of his father, the late Jessie L. Evans, Esq. Presently serving as attorney for the City of Canton Zoning Board, Attorney Evans is also a public defender for Madison and Yazoo Counties as well as a former city judge for the Town of Tchula, Mississippi. Attorney Evans also served as Attorney for the Madison County Election Commission. Attorney Evans is an alumnus of Alcorn State University and lives with his wife Debra and daughter Madelyn in Jackson, Mississippi. Attorney Evans has gained considerable trial experience since graduating from the George Washington University Law School and has often stated that trying cases is his favorite part of the law.
