Aaron Pomeranz is a long-time resident of Hampton Roads and attended Kempsville High School where he played catcher for the Chiefs. He attended William and Mary, continued to play baseball for the Tribe, and graduated in 1992 with a degree in Business Administration. After college, Aaron decided to pursue a career in public service and became a police officer with the Norfolk Police Department, graduating the police academy in 1993.
