Upon being licensed to practice law in 2000, Ross Jurewitz dedicated his career to representing injury victims. He is the founder and managing attorney of Jurewitz Law Group | Injury & Accident Lawyers, which has been recognized in publications throughout the United States, including Time and Newsweek®. Mr. Jurewitz is a frequent guest legal expert on local and national television news programs. Mr. Jurewitz received his J.D. at Washington College of Law, American University, Washington, D.C., in 2000. Prior to his law degree, Mr. Jurewitz completed a bachelor’s degree in Political Science (with a minor in Law & Society) at the University of California, San Diego. Mr. Jurewitz is licensed to practice law before all courts in the State of California. In 2002, he joined the prestigious San Diego personal injury firm of Hoey and Morgan, representing injury victims in litigation and as trial counsel. In 2004, Mr. Jurewitz formed the partnership of Wick Jurewitz, where he took the lessons learned in the large firm he had just left and combined them with the personal touch found in smaller firms. Continuing the same philosophy and expanding his practice to represent workers' compensation and employment law clients, Mr. Jurewitz formed Jurewitz Law Group | Injury & Accident Lawyers in 2007. Mr. Jurewitz currently lives in a coastal North County home. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, their daughter, and their two dogs, Ace (an American Bulldog) and Blackjack (a German shepherd mix). He also enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending the fall rooting for the University of Texas Longhorns football team.

Matt Mahoney graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2001 with a Degree in Applied Mathematics in Engineering, and he graduated from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2007. Before becoming an attorney he worked a wide variety of jobs including, among others: Class A CDL Truck Driver; High School Mathematics Teacher; Limestone Cutter; Carpenter/Laborer; Oil and Gas Research Technician; House Painter; and Legal Process Server. His work experience is integral to his practice of law in that it provides him with a perspective from which he can better relate to the problems faced by his clients. It is thus his mission to provide each client with the best, most personalized, representation possible. In his spare time, Mr. Mahoney enjoys mountain biking, golf, skiing, exercising, working on cars, the great outdoors, and spending time with his family.

Alex Mehdipour attended the University of California San Diego where he received his degree in political science. After graduating from UCSD, Mr. Mehdipour attended Southwestern University School of Law where he received his JD. Upon passing the bar, Mr. Mehdipour gained invaluable experience both in a law firm and business setting. Mr. Mehdipour uses his prior business and legal experiences to negotiate the most advantageous results for his clients.

Ms. Natalie Mirzayan takes a compassionate approach to the practice of law and is known for her ability to listen to clients and understand their needs and goals. Ms. Mirzayan is dedicated to achieving favorable settlements at the earliest opportunity and works on the principle that negotiations are most successful when the case is well-positioned for litigation if necessary. Ms. Mirzayan makes clear to her clients that they will be actively involved in their cases, and that the case strategy will be developed based on their particular needs and circumstances. Ms. Mirzayan was awarded her law degree from California Western School of Law and after further law studies obtained an LL.M. in Taxation from Chapman University School of Law. Ms. Mirzayan was a member of the California Western School of Law Pro Bono Honors Society and received the Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services. She graduated with honors, cum laude, from the University of California Los Angeles with a B.A. in Economics. Ms. Mirzayan’s experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolution, allows her to carefully evaluate each client’s individual needs to achieve optimal results.

Mr. Novak is the founding partner of our firm. He was born on the great Canadian prairies in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba. After a distinguished educational career at the University of Manitoba, he attended the University of North Dakota School of Law. He was named on the academic dean’s list for his entire six semesters of law school and was awarded the degree of Juris Doctor With Distinction. Following graduation from law school, he hung up his hockey skates and moved to the gentler climate of California. Since 1998 Mr. Novak has based his practice of law in the Southern California area. However, he has actively litigated cases throughout the State of California, and the United States. Mr. Novak has established himself as a well-respected trial attorney in the region. In particular, he is renowned for his keen legal mind and aggressive litigation approach. His commitment to fighting for clients’ rights has led to the recovery of in excess of $130,000,000.00 in verdicts or settlements for clients within the past twenty-two years of his practice. Before concentrating his practice on protecting the rights of individuals, Mr. Novak worked for several years as a defense attorney handling primarily large-loss cases on behalf of numerous entertainment production companies, large corporations, and insurance companies. During this time period, he successfully protected clients from exposure to multi-million dollar claims for damages.

Reina Resnik received her Bachelor’s degree in English literature, from University of California, Los Angeles in 1986. Ms. Resnik received her Juris Doctorate from Whittier Law School in 1991. Ms. Resnik is currently a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and California Employment Law Association. Admitted to practice law by the State Bar of California in 1992. She speaks Spanish and Hebrew and is actively involved in various cultural and charitable organizations in Los Angeles County.

Jennifer Dean, Esq. has been a practicing attorney for over 10 years. She completed an undergraduate degree at UCLA with cum laude honors. She received her law degree from Chicago-Kent Law school with a specialty in trial advocacy. She has dedicated her career to fighting for injured workers and those with personal injuries so they can get the treatment and compensation they deserve.
