Johanna Kelley, founder of J Kelley Law Group, obtained her law degree in Colombia in 2001, where she practiced Labor, Constitutional, Administrative, Human Rights, International Law and International Business Law. She advised private companies, local and international human rights organizations, governmental agencies, the Colombian Army and grassroots community organizations, with a broad portfolio that included innovative initiatives and the improvement of Colombia’s image abroad. She prepared and accompanied cases of Colombian citizens before the Organization of American States (OAS). After immigrating to the United States, she found that the policy and Immigration Law of this country were a perfect fit for her professional development project and after graduating with Master’s degrees in Law (Duke University) and International Development Policy (Sanford School of Public Policy), she founded in 2013 a non-profit organization aimed at protecting and promoting immigrant rights and social justice. In July 2015, she left the nonprofit sector to serve in government. She began working for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) as a supervisor, a wonderful experience professionally and personally, which allowed her to participate in ensuring the integrity of the US immigration system, provide immigration benefits and support the country’s Homeland Security. In November 2017, Johanna Kelley said goodbye to USCIS to kick off the biggest of her work projects: building her own law firm. The founder of our firm believes in legal development and empowerment, therefore, she has been involved in public discussions at mass events and through the media. She hosted the television program ‘Batalla Política’ for the international news channel NTN24 and is a frequent analyst on radio stations and Hispanic channels such as Telemundo, Caracol Televisión, Univisión and RCN News. Mrs. Kelley leads a team committed to the cases of clients and investors, and we are grateful every day for the opportunity to serve our community with professionalism, ethics, and positive results generated through teamwork.

Since his admission to the Louisiana Bar in 1988, J. Douglas Sunseri has practiced in diverse areas of the law. From 1990-1994, J. Douglas Sunseri worked under Attorney J. William Becknell, the legal counsel for Mr. John Mecom, Jr. and his affiliated companies. Mr. Mecom was the initial owner of the New Orleans Saints and had numerous holdings in oil & gas, hotels, real estate, professional sports and related businesses. As a result, Mr. Sunseri was fully educated in broad areas of law and business. Mr. Sunseri has participated in litigation involving employees, insureds, employers, insurers, and self-insured funds for property/casualty, employers' liability, employment discrimination, sexual harassment and worker's compensation claims. Other areas of practice consist of personal injury, insurance coverage, flood claims, hazard claims, wind-driven rain claims, business interruption, errors and omissions liability for insurance agents/insurance companies. Mr. Sunseri's practice also encompasses commercial litigation, mergers and acquisitions, incorporations, corporate agreements, employment contracts, licensing for intellectual property, leases, real estate, estate planning, wills, trusts and successions. Since Hurricane Katrina, Mr. Sunseri has specialized in a broad range of insurance issues including disaster litigation, insurance coverage, and business interruption. Also, Mr. Sunseri has concentrated in construction law, federal / state contracts, government contracting, licensing and information technology (IT). Mr. Sunseri's litigation experience includes jury trials in state and federal court. Mr. Sunseri also practices before worker's compensation judges with the Louisiana Department of Labor, administrative law judges and Special Masters assigned by the National Football League. He has directed litigation to the United States Supreme Court in connection with the National Football League and the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA). Mr. Sunseri has conducted numerous seminars on topics involving Hurricane Katrina, government contracting, land contracting, construction, employment issues, worker's compensation and estate planning. Also, Mr. Sunseri serves as legal counsel for the Gulf Coast Government Contractors Association (GCGCA), a trade association for securing government contracts in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region. Recently, Mr. Sunseri was named as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the State of Louisiana by Louisiana Attorney James "Buddy" Caldwell.

Amber K. Boyd is a versatile professional with strong experience in managing complex litigation matters. She founded Amber K. Boyd Attorney at Law in 2013, where she is the sole practitioner. Ms. Boyd specializes in employment law with a focus on discrimination cases. She also has deep expertise in estate planning and probate law. Her goal is to deliver effective, efficient, and strategic service to her clients. Ms. Boyd always keeps her eye on winning at trial. She has established a track record of securing large settlements for her clients that often exceed what the defendant or employer had offered. Ms. Boyd clearly explains complex legal issues to her clients and ensures witnesses are well-prepared to testify. She has years of experience litigating in federal and state court, and she has mediated cases through the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Before founding her law firm, Ms. Boyd served as a compliance officer at a national mortgage company in Indianapolis, where she managed 19 law firms nationwide. She evaluated attorney compliance with policies, procedures, service level agreements, and state and federal requirements. Ms. Boyd also provided litigation support to executive management and internal and external counsel, and she completed a root cause analysis of foreclosure issues to identify process improvements. Ms. Boyd is a member of the Marion County Bar Association, the Indianapolis Bar Association, and the American Bar Association Labor and Employment Division. She is also a board member of the Mapleton-Fall Creek Neighborhood Development Corporation as well as a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Since 2005, Chris Houk has been a dedicated advocate for the rights of Arizona’s workers, managers, and employers. From representing clients in small-town discrimination cases to arguing before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Chris has tirelessly worked to ensure that everyone is treated with the fairness, dignity, and respect they deserve. Chris’s extensive experience includes serving in the Civil Rights Division of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. These roles have given him a deep understanding of the laws and regulations that govern employment in Arizona. In addition to his legal practice, Chris is an adjunct professor at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. He also serves as an officer of the National Employment Lawyers Association, Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Section, and is a Fellow with the American Bar Foundation. Outside of work, Chris is actively involved in the Arizona and Metro Phoenix communities, where he and his wife are raising their three children.

Dovinh Law, PLLC is a law practice based in Seattle, Washington where its founder, Betty Trang Dovinh, was born and raised. The daughter of Vietnamese refugees, Ms. Dovinh’s experience as a first generation American gives her important insight into the unique challenges that historically disadvantaged groups face. She’s dedicated her career to advocating for those communities and fighting every day for the American principles of justice and equality for all to be upheld in the legal system and beyond. Ms. Dovinh has over 20 years of diverse professional experience, helping local businesses and serving the Greater Seattle community. She fights vigorously against discrimination in the workplace and other civil rights abuses. She litigates in both state and federal court, as well as administrative bodies such as Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), The Department of Labor and Industries (L&I), and The Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals (BIIA). In her immigration practice, she’s authorized to represent clients from all 50 states and around the world in U.S. visa, immigration and naturalization matters. She has successfully reunified families in Washington and other states with their relatives abroad as well as assisted businesses expand in the local economy. Ms. Dovinh earned a B.A from the University of Washington and J.D. from Seattle University School of Law. Ms. Dovinh is a member of the Federal Bar Association of the Western District of Washington, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Asian Bar Association of Washington, and the Vietnamese American Bar Association of Washington. She is natively fluent in English and Vietnamese.

Andrew graduated from Boalt Hall (U.C. Berkeley) School of Law, a top public law school. Before that, he earned his bachelor’s degree from The University of Los Angeles, California (UCLA), magna cum laude, with college honors. Additionally, Andrew is a member of the esteemed Phi Beta Kappa Society. He helps clients on a wide variety of civil matters. The types of cases he has handled in his practice include: business law, real estate law, business and real estate disputes; employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation; catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death and elder abuse.

Scott J. Robinson joined the firm in 2012 and became a Partner in 2014. His primary practice area is Litigation and he has widespread knowledge of various types of litigation with strengths in Commercial, Labor and Employment, and Probate and Trust Litigation. In addition, Scott’s practice also includes substantial work as a trial lawyer and broad appellate experience. Scott enjoys making sense of the sometimes challenging world of commercial litigation and shares the commitment to excellence that is held by the attorneys of SSSB. He understands that clients in need of legal advice and counsel want solutions, not excuses and Scott makes it his mission to deliver quality client service. Scott was named Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star every year since 2011. Before joining the SSSB team, Scott developed his legal skills at other local law firms while helping his clients succeed in state and federal court during both the trial and the appellate process. He also counseled clients on various employment law issues. Scott earned his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2001, Cum Laude; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Case Western Reserve University in 1998. He was admitted to practice in the State of Ohio in 2001 and the State of California in 2003. Scott’s legal memberships currently include the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Scott is a resident of Shaker Heights where he resides with his wife and three young sons. He is also a board member and President at Chaplain Partnership.
