Daniel was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas, and he holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from Seton Hall University and a Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in International Business, from the University of Texas at El Paso. Daniel holds a double certification in Healthcare Compliance and as a Compliance and Ethics Professional. Daniel manages the Law Office of Daniel R. Crumby, LLC, where he focuses on complex litigation and business law including white-collar defense; defense of corporate, and individual clients in state and federal courts around the country; medical malpractice; nursing home and elder abuse; healthcare compliance and investigations; personal injury, and criminal law. Prior to starting his practice, Daniel worked at a mid-sized law firm in Atlanta, and he specialized in criminal and civil healthcare-related white-collar cases, medical malpractice, healthcare compliance, internal investigations, and defending insurance companies and their insurers in complex cases, including lawsuits filed against skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities. Immediately prior to working at a civil defense firm, Daniel defended the United States and its agencies in federal and state courts, and he served as a federal prosecutor in the Southern District of Georgia and the Western District of Texas. As a federal prosecutor, Daniel directed and prosecuted numerous cases including healthcare fraud, bank fraud, procurement fraud, mortgage fraud, wire fraud, theft of government funds, drugs and alien smuggling, child exploitation, human and sex trafficking, and other criminal violations. In 2014, Daniel received a Commendation from the Federal Bureau of Investigation Director, James B. Comey. Daniel previously served in the United States Army as military police and as a Judge Advocate General (“JAG”) officer in a variety of assignments before resigning his commission as a Captain. The Army twice awarded Daniel the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medals, and the Fort Bliss Ambassador Award, among others, for his military service. Daniel is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, State Bar of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Georgia and the Western District of Texas.

Judy focuses her practice on the defense of complex personal injury and significant property damage actions. With over two decades of experience in defending clients as a senior trial attorney for two major international insurance companies, she has successfully litigated major Labor Law, products liability, elevator, trucking, environmental and premises liability cases through trial. Judy zealously advocates her client’s position while keeping defense costs in mind. She has represented clients ranging from major construction companies, real estate management companies, product manufacturers, distributors, municipalities, hotels and major retailers to small retail chains, pharmacies, and small businesses. Judy strongly believes that a high quality defense can be provided in a cost effective manner. During her sixteen years at AIG, Judy was tapped to become the Head of the Property Subrogation Practice Group and established the subrogation practice in New York and California. Prior to her tenure at AIG, she was a senior trial attorney for Zurich North America, where she successfully defended medical malpractice, Labor Law, premises liability, motor vehicle and major property damage cases. While at Zurich, Judy created and managed the subrogation practice involving fire loss, building collapse, explosions, water damage, legal fee and worker’s compensation lien recovery, and nofault loss transfer. Judy was recognized throughout the company for her expertise in the field of no-fault loss transfer. Prior to her defense practice, Judy spent fourteen years as a plaintiff’s attorney for two major plaintiff’s firms, concentrating her practice on Labor Law, medical malpractice, premises liability, and trucking accidents. Her unique insight into how the other side thinks has made her a firm believer in the “know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em” strategy when resolving cases.

Sangeeta serves as the firm’s Chief Executive Officer and has over 20 years of experience. She has also litigated design patent and copyright infringement cases in such diverse areas as architectural building designs, automotive parts and consumer products. She is at the forefront of this changing landscape and its implications and works closely with clients to take proactive steps to obtain competitive advantage from an adversarial and patent procurement standpoint. Sangeeta has been instrumental in building the Post Grant practice group at Brooks Kushman. She is frequently called upon to counsel clients in developing best practices and strategic planning of their patent portfolios, including writing successful patent applications in complex and novel situations, in anticipation of possible future litigation. She advises clients on multi-faceted patent clearance, and adversarial matters and works with technical and legal teams to develop invalidity arguments and design around solutions to bolster her clients' positions. Through her opinion and prosecution practice, Sangeeta has extensive experience with chemical and mechanical technologies, in the areas of catalysts, food science, packaging, analytical instrumentation, dietary supplements, diagnostic kits, adhesives, plastics, therapeutics and metallurgy. A growing component of her work revolves around India. She has represented U.S. companies going into India, and Indian companies doing business in the U.S. to help obtain and protect global intellectual property assets. Prior to becoming CEO, Sangeeta served as the firm’s Chief Diversity Officer. Through her efforts, she created a culture of diversity and inclusiveness within the firm and extend the firm`s reach through pipeline initiatives and outreach efforts. Prior to this position, she also managed human resources for Brooks Kushman for over 10 years. She is also actively involved in the Isha Foundation and its global environmental, education and health initiatives which focus on the use of meditation as a transformative tool for change.
