After developing a successful high school speech and debate program, Randall Vaughan left education to pursue a career as a trial lawyer, a goal that guided his law school education and decision to join Pray Walker in 1985. Randall has tried numerous cases in federal and state courts, written legal briefs, and presented oral arguments at the appellate level. He has also served as an advocate for clients in private arbitrations. As a counselor, he assists large companies in managing their nationwide litigation and advises them in advance of litigation. In furtherance of his personal belief regarding the value of advanced planning to avoid disputes and uncertainty, he also assists clients with their estate planning needs.

Matthew is a proud native-born Tennessean and the third generation to live on my family’s farm. His roots trace back to his ancestor and the first governor of the state of Tennessee, John Sevier. While at the University of Tennessee College of Law, Matthew concentrated his studies on advocacy and dispute resolution. Prior to law school, he worked as an agent with Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee. Matthew understands the importance of communication, honesty, hard work, determination, and treating people the way you would want to be treated. He is honored to serve the legal needs of individuals and companies with interests in and throughout Tennessee.

Attorney Lena Ghianni is a native San Diegan. She was born and raised in East County, graduated from Granite Hills High School in El Cajon, and obtained her law degree (Juris Doctor) from the University of San Diego School of Law. The only times Lena has lived outside San Diego County was while attending the University of Southern California for a bachelor's degree in Political Science and for her first job as a lawyer in Victorville, California. During her career, Lena gained experience in the areas of general civil, criminal, family law, and probate, including but not limited to issues of real estate, contract, child custody, dissolution of marriage, guardianship, conservatorship, petitions for administration, and estate planning. She was responsible for handling a heavy caseload including all aspects of the general practice such as preparation of pleadings, motions, writs, settlement negotiations, and trial and appellate briefs. Lena successfully argued cases at mediations, arbitrations, motions, and trials. For several years now, Lena's focus has been in the areas of family law and probate. Lena has helped her clients through the very difficult and emotional hurdles that accompany divorce, child custody, support, caring for ill or disabled family, and the death of a loved one. Since passing the bar in 2002, Lena has handled a wide range of cases, including real estate and business disputes, personal injury, and criminal cases.

Scott was born and raised in New York. He received his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University in upstate New York. He them attended and received his law degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 2001. His career began shortly thereafter working as an associate attorney at a mid-size firm named Wingate, Kearney and Cullen concentrating mainly on real property, title and banking law. Scott then relocated to Southwest Florida in 2006 and went to work as an associate with Burkard Law Firm in Fort Myers. At Burkard he expanded his practice areas to include family, probate, wills, contracts and business law. In 2009, Scott opened Faden Law Firm where he ran a general civil litigation firm practicing in all of those areas. Finally, in February of this year, Scott partnered up with Barbara Cossu and created Faden & Cossu, PA, where they will continue to represent your needs in the legal areas of: family law, real estate, probate wills and estate planning, business, contracts and civil litigation.

Working to protect Kentucky’s most vulnerable citizens and natural landscapes has long been Joe’s personal and professional passion. As an undergraduate student at the University of Kentucky, Joe successfully lobbied for Appalachian studies curricula and the formation of the UK Appalachian Center. As a law student, Joe spent his summers working throughout east Kentucky and central Appalachia with the Appalachian Land Ownership Task Force documenting absentee land and mineral ownership by out of state energy giants. This work inspired the creation of the Kentucky Fair Tax Coalition, which later became Kentuckians for the Commonwealth. Joe started his legal career with the Appalachian Research and Defense Fund (AppalRed) in Jackson, Kentucky, and has now been in private practice for forty years. He represented landowners in some of Kentucky’s most important mineral and tax litigation, which led to major reforms in property tax of unmined minerals and passage of the Broad Form Deed Amendment to the Kentucky Constitution in 1988. ​ From 1988 to 1992, Joe was a partner of Shepherd & Childers, where he practiced with now Franklin Circuit Court Judge Phillip Shepherd. From 2007 to 2011, Joe was a partner in Getty & Childers, a Lexington civil litigation firm. In 2012, Joe started Joe F. Childers & Associates, the predecessor to Childers & Baxter, PLLC. Joe has served on the boards of the Appalachian Citizens’ Law Center, Kentucky State University, Kentucky Employers Mutual Insurance Company, the State Board of Claims, and as Commissioner on the State Mine Safety Review Commission and the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission. Since 2015, Joe has served as Board Chair of the Kentucky Resources Council. Joe and his wife Denise have two adult children.
