I have been practicing law for over 25 years, representing individuals and small business owners in New York City and Long Island, with the legal issues that arise in their everyday business or personal life. For business owners, I act as a general business advisor, help form new businesses, review and negotiate contracts, including operating agreements, vendor agreements, independent contractor agreements, and commercial leases. I also teach clients how to avoid disputes by showing them what to do to ensure that they get paid at the end of a deal, how to protect themselves against liability and how to operate their businesses efficiently. In the event a dispute does arise, I work with business partners to assist them in resolving disputes among themselves or with companies they do business with, including representing companies in litigation against customers for unpaid bills or breached agreements. In addition, I have experience with other types of litigation, including construction and real estate contract litigation. I started my firm, the Law Office of Michael A. Kofsky, PLLC, in November 2008, after having worked at law firms both large and small in New York City. At Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher, and Flom, LLP, I gained experience working with businesses, reviewing and analyzing business and real estate contracts and operating agreements to identify potential liabilities and compliance issues, and help manage risk. I also examined organizational structures and operating revenues and worked on joint ventures and other transactions. After leaving Skadden, I worked at several small boutique law firms at which I gained experience interacting with clients on a personal level in order to fully understand their needs and accomplish their goals. Thereafter, I took the best parts of my Manhattan experience and created my own firm to be closer to my family and to give back to the Long Island community. I am a lifelong New Yorker, born and raised in Manhattan and now living on Long Island. I graduated with honors from Brooklyn Law School and Boston University. I am an avid sports fan and am devoted to my family, including my two young daughters.

Edgar Boles is an accomplished attorney with 42 years of experience in public law and private practice, primarily in the areas of civil litigation and dispute resolution, representing small and medium sized business entities and individuals. Immediately after graduating from Case Western Reserve University's School of Law, Edgar Boles served as a Law Clerk to Judge John V. Corrigan and Judge Thomas J. Parrino on the Eighth Appellate District Court of Appeals of Ohio for Cuyahoga County. Thereafter, he served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the Civil Division of the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office. Since 1976, Mr. Boles has worked in private practice with law firms in Greater Cleveland before joining Dinn, Hochman & Potter in July 2015. Mr. Boles is experienced in commercial disputes, business torts, shareholder claims and business dissolutions, personal injury claims, employment disputes representing both employers and employees, commercial, business and individual tort claims, and construction, real estate and real property claims and disputes including arbitration. Edgar Boles has experience representing individuals in Estate, Probate and Trust disputes and Domestic Relations matters including divorce, dissolution of marriage and post-decree proceedings. Mr. Boles also has experience in FINRA proceedings representing securities investment claimants and securities industry employment claimants.

Ron is partner in the firm based in the Butler office. He represents both public and private clients in general litigation, personal injury, real estate litigation, and business and corporate litigation. Ron is a former prosecutor having tried well over one hundred serious criminal cases to verdict including capital murder, rape, burglary and drug related offenses. Ron has also represented clients to verdict in many civil matters including construction litigation, personal injury, and real estate litigation cases. Ron earned his B.A., summa cum laude, in English from the University of Pittsburgh and earned his J.D. from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law. During law school, Ron clerked for the Honorable Carol Los Mansmann of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and for Ila Jeanne Sensenich of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. After law school, Ron clerked for the Honorable Charles R. Alexander of the Court of Common Pleas of Clarion County, Pennsylvania. Ron has also served in various capacities in the court system including as an Assistant District Attorney for Clarion County, a special master in domestic relations cases, and as an Arbitrator in both Butler and Clarion Counties. Ron is a member of the Butler County Bar Association, the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Ron has personally handled cases in all Pennsylvania Courts, including the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition to practicing law, Ron is an avid bicyclist and has served in numerous capacities over the years for public and private organizations. He also served on the boards of various charitable and civic organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors of the Zelienople Rotary Club. He is also a recipient of the Pennsylvania Game Commission Sport Ethics Award.

Mr. Hurlbut has over thirty years of experience in representing clients in both Federal and Texas state courts, from commencement of a suit through trial and appeals. He is as comfortable prosecuting a lawsuit as he is in defending a lawsuit. He has handled a large variety of legal disputes and lawsuits, from fraud, business disputes, partnership disputes, deceptive trade practices, construction defects, breach of contract, discrimination claims, and wrongful termination. Mr. Hurlbut has extensive experience in advising and representing small and medium size businesses as well as professionals in their employment, business and real estate matters. He advises business owners and HR on handling problem employees, company policies, discipline, termination and law-offs as well as defends businesses against employment-related claims. For years, he has also represented and counseled individuals and employees in discrimination claims, retaliation claims, wrongful terminations, workplace tort claims, contract and wage disputes, and lawsuits Prior to founding the Hurlbut Law Firm, Mr. Hurlbut was a shareholder in Bush, Hurlbut & Morrison, after previously a senior associate in Rohne, Hoodenpyle, Lobert & Myers. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Southern Methodist University and Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has been active and has assumed leadership positions in numerous bar, pro bono, civic and charitable activities, organizations and boards. Mr. Hurlbut was President of the Arlington Bar Association in 1992-1993 and was named in Tarrant County’s Top Attorneys, in the Fort Worth, Texas, the City’s Magazine in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. He was Chair of the Pro Bono Advisory Board for West Texas Legal Services and then Legal Aid of Northwest Texas between 1993 – 2012. Damon Senaha is the founding attorney at the Law Office of Damon M. Senaha, a Honolulu law firm serving individuals and businesses on Oahu and all the islands of Hawaii in the areas of real estate, business litigation and employment law. After 24 years of military service, Mr. Senaha retired from the U.S. Navy at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. His professional education includes an Associate in Applied Science degree in the field of Aircraft Pneudraulics Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. An experienced and skillful legal advocate, Jeremiah E. Heck is a founding partner at Luftman, Heck & Associates and has practiced law since 2003. Mr. Heck’s practice focuses primarily on consumer and real estate law. As an Ohio consumer law attorney, his practice is weighted most heavily on consumer law where he represents consumers’ rights, including claims based on unfair debt collection practice by creditors, settling claims with creditors, and claims against businesses for unfair or deceptive trade practices. After graduating from Meigs High School in Southeastern Ohio, Mr. Heck joined the United States Army. He completed basic training as a combat engineer at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Mr. Heck was stationed at Camp Howze, Korea in the 44th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division from 1993 to 1994. He was then stationed at Fort Hood, Texas from 1994 through 1996 in the 2nd Armored Division and later in the 4th Infantry Division while holding the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Heck served three years in the Ohio National Guard as a Combat Engineer and three years in the West Virginia National Guard as a Diesel Mechanic. After ten years in the Army, Mr. Heck ended his military career and began study at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Legal Communications and a minor in Business Administration. Mr. Heck then pursued a Juris Doctorate from Capital University, graduating summa cum laude in 2003. While in law school, Mr. Heck was on the Executive Board for Capital University’s Law Review as Research and Notes Editor. As a part of this Executive Board, a scholarship was started to honor the Most Outstanding Law Review member, which continues to be awarded annually to this day. He also was the Teaching Assistant for Constitution Law and Criminal Law, which lead to his passion for teaching. Mr. Heck currently enjoys teaching Real Estate Law for the Capital University Law School’s Paralegal Program and General Practice, a third year law class, for the Capital University Law School. Mr. Heck’s recent accomplishments are numerous and varied. He was honored as the 2010 Super Lawyers Ohio Rising Star Attorneys. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state of Ohio are named to the list. Mr. Heck was the only consumer law attorney selected as a 2010 Super Lawyer Rising Star Attorney for the State of Ohio. Mr. Heck has also received this honor in 2011, 2012 and 2013. In 2010, Mr. Heck climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa. In 2012, Mr. Heck had the opportunity to run and finish the Great Wall of China Marathon. Outside of work, Mr. Heck enjoys playing softball with the law firm team and golfing. He is an avid reader and proud owner of Kili, a Siberian husky. He often participates in charity races benefiting dogs and frequently contributes to dog-related causes.
