Robert is a lifetime Lake County resident, born in Libertyville, Illinois, and raised in the neighboring Village of Gurnee. Robert attended Warren Township High School from 2001-05, where he distinguished himself in academics and athletics graduating among the highest in his class and receiving All-Conference football honors. He conducted his undergraduate studies at Illinois State University as a “University Scholarship” recipient, where, in 2009, he graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Studies. Robert was admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois on November 1, 2012. He attended law school at the Northern Illinois University College of Law from 2009-12, graduating Cum Laude in May of 2012. In November of 2012, after a brief bought working for major corporations, Robert opened Tomei Law to assist those in financial distress–specifically, representing consumer rights through foreclosure defense, bankruptcy, auto fraud, and debt collection harassment. In the fall of 2018, Robert, along with three other fine attorneys, Timothy Johnston, Alan Lenczycki, and Michael Goldberg, founded the law firm Johnston Tomei Lenczycki & Goldberg, LLC (JTLG, LLC). JTLG is a full-service law firm and in addition to an office in Gurnee shared with Tomei Law, P.C., JTLG has an office conveniently located in the heart of downtown Libertyville. Having hailed from a family with Lake County roots, it has always been an aspiration of Robert’s to practice law in the community of his upbringing. The inner drive to further that end, coupled with the desire to assist those in distress, led him to pursue a legal career in the Consumer Rights arena where he has successfully taken on consumer foes that include some of the largest banks, debt collectors, and automobile dealerships in the land and as the owner of Tomei Law, P.C. and partner of JTLG, he plans to continue that fight for justice in Consumer Rights well into the future.

Bill Pemerton earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Technological University in 2000 and was awarded his J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama in 2005. Upon graduation from Cumberland, he was honored with a Certificate of Trial Advocacy and has since maintained a substantial litigation practice in both Tennessee and Alabama. His practice includes personal injury, family law, and general litigation. He was recently listed as a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 general civil and family mediator.

As a former extern with the Clark County District Attorney's Office, he learned firsthand how “the other side” prosecutes cases. Now he's able to “think like a prosecutor” and anticipate their strategies. Even Nevada's police rely on Mike to defend them when their officers get into trouble... the Nevada Association of Public Safety Officers (NAPSO) is one of Las Vegas Defense Group's standing clients. As a criminal defense attorney, Mike has experience in motion practice at the trial and appellate levels in both criminal and juvenile courts. Mike has represented clients in numerous matters including Traffic Tickets, DUI, Battery Domestic Violence, Shoplifting and Drug Crimes. He received advance training on how to fight sexual assault cases (Savannah, GA, Oct. 2013). Mike has also first or second-chaired numerous jury trials including a murder trial and an attempted murder trial. Mike has also successfully represented clients in post conviction appeals in front of the Nevada Supreme Court and has two published opinions to date (State v. Gonzalez, 298 P. 3d 448; 129 Nev. Adv. Op. 22 (2013) and Barral v. State, 131 Nev. Adv. Op. 52 (2015)). Mike tirelessly investigates the evidence in each criminal defense, personal injury, and family law case. He is always ready to go to trial. However, usually this preparation and tenacity allows him to secure favorable resolutions with opposing counsel that spare his clients the stress of trial. Prior to graduating magna cum laude from the Boyd School of Law at UNLV, Mike gained practical experience by clerking in the Henderson firm of Rands, South & Gardner as well as externing with the D.A's office. Hailing from the Midwest, he received his B.A. in Education from The University of Michigan and preceded his legal career by teaching Social Studies and English in Detroit and Las Vegas. Las Vegas criminal defense attorney Mike Castillo represents clients throughout Nevada with a focus on Clark County. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NADCL), the American Bar Association and the Clark County Bar Association. He lives in the Summerlin area with his wife.

Anthony P. Sgro is a partner and founding member of Sgro & Roger, LLC. After attending the University of San Diego for both his undergraduate education and law school, Mr. Sgro returned to Las Vegas and began practicing primarily in the area of criminal defense. In short order, he became a “death qualified” attorney and focused on defending those charged with capital murder offenses. ​ After trying numerous cases, Mr. Sgro used his unique trial experience to branch out into other areas of law, including personal injury, entertainment, and business law. Remarkably, he found his trial skill set transferred to those areas as well. Since the beginning of his career, Mr. Sgro has tried over 125 jury trials in both the civil and criminal arena. Most notably, as trial counsel, Mr. Sgro secured numerous acquittals in criminal cases including acquittals in extortion cases, drug cases, sexual assault cases and murder cases. He has been awarded millions of dollars by way of jury verdicts in medical malpractice cases and in personal injury cases. He also secured the largest slip and fall personal injury verdict to be awarded against Walgreens corporation, as well as a real estate trial verdict in excess of $55 million. Notably, that same trial experience allowed him to resolve the largest settlement for a single plaintiff personal injury case in Nevada history, which exceeded $30 million. ​ Several years ago, Mr. Sgro once again expanded his practice and business interests. He had the privilege of representing, and routing Prince’s 2013 West Coast tour, which spanned 13 U.S. cities. Most recently, his legal experience has allowed him to participate in the gaming arena, including both local and overseas gaming operations. ​ Years ago, Mr. Sgro teamed up with long time friend David Roger to create the firm that exists today. Mr. Roger is the former District Attorney for all of Clark County, Nevada, and he served in that capacity for approximately 25 years.

Born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, Nicole has a passion for serving local residents. Nicole serves as an advocate for the Court Appointed Special Advocates (“CASA”), volunteering her time to assess the needs of neglected and abused children who have been placed in the local court system. Nicole also volunteers her time to Legal Aid of the Bluegrass, providing pro bono representation to individuals lacking the financial resources to pay for legal services. Nicole’s commitment to the community was recognized in 2014 when she was named Pro Bono Attorney of the Year. Carol was born in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in Dallas and Mesquite. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Southern Methodist University, attended the SMU summer program for English at University College, Oxford, England, and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Texas A&M School of Law. She has over 30 years of experience working in courts and international law firms in downtown Dallas. She now brings that big city experience to Historic Downtown Royse City for the convenience of the client, a more personal practice of law, and without the big city price. Michael Otto was born and raised in Iowa. Mr. Otto received a B.S. in Marketing from Iowa State University in 1990, where he was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society. He went on to graduate from Drake University School of Law with a J.D. in 1994. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the New Jersey Bar Association, and the Iowa Bar Association. He has been practicing law in New Jersey since 1996, and has been located in the same office space in Piscataway for the last ten years. In addition to his work as a general practice lawyer, Mr. Otto is also an active volunteer in his Piscataway community. He coaches a variety of sports for the Piscataway Recreation Department and routinely volunteers with the Cub Scouts in Morris County.
