Upon graduation from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in New York, classmates Evan N. Pickus and Howard S. Landsberg sought to fulfill a vision- the formation of their own law firm. Originally intending to concentrate in the areas of tax and estates, Mr. Pickus opened his office in East Brunswick, New Jersey, and Mr. Landsberg opened his office in Long Island, New York, with the intention of working together to serve the needs of residents of the respective areas. Having a prior background in accounting, Mr. Landsberg felt after a period of time that his aspirations could be better fulfilled in the area of taxation and advisory accountancy. He, therefore, left the practice and went on to a very successful career in those areas. With his practice already established in New Jersey, Mr. Pickus decided to maintain the firm and has continued practicing under the Pickus & Landsberg name since 1994. Circumstances often dictate the direction of business. Contacts and clients needing real estate services tended to gravitate to the firm, and Mr. Pickus found his niche in the area of real estate law. Over the past twenty-five years, however, real estate clients developed other needs, requiring the firm to expand its areas of practice. We currently serve our clients, not only with real estate matters but in the areas of bankruptcy, family law, corporate matters, civil litigation, and estate planning. We have two goals in our practice. The first is to be a true “family practice” – to have the ability, in most situations, to serve the legal needs of our clients. Certainly, circumstances arise where clients require representation outside our expertise, and in such cases, we have a wide network of colleagues with whom we can entrust the representation of our clients. Our second goal is to do our best to ensure that our clients are satisfied with our representation. We know that we can’t always give clients the answers they want to hear. But we strive to provide the right answers, anticipating that at the end of the process, most will realize that we truly had their best interests at heart. T. McCall Stern ("McCall") is active in her community and has a passion for serving others. She practices predominately in the areas of estate planning, probate, corporate law, and fiduciary litigation. In 2014, she started the law firm and Purposed Planning, a non-profit focused on supporting elders, veterans and caregivers and on promoting a collaborative approach to planning. She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Mississippi College School of Law, graduating in the top 10% of her class. Prior to starting McCall Stern, PLLC, she worked for another law firm for eight years. During that time, she gained integral legal experience in the areas of business and corporate law, litigation, tax, estate planning, guardianships and conservatorships, and probate. Prior to entering the legal profession, she assisted various entities with lobbying initiatives, legislative tracking, business development, public relations, membership growth and retention, accounting and management.

Matthew Webbeking has been practicing law in the Seattle area for 14 years. A graduate of Nathan Hale High School, Matthew received his B.A. in Psychology from Whitman College, with Philosophy Minor. He received his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law, focusing on tax and corporate law. He currently resides in West Seattle, with his three children. Matthew serves on the Board of Directors of the Brazil Children's Charity, and enjoys Latin & ballroom dance,tennis, swimming, and lifting.
