Eric Boehmer is an award winning attorney with the experience, confidence and knowledge to deal with the authorities when it comes to defending individuals against criminal charges. As a native of St. Charles County, Eric was born and raised in the Wentzville area. He attended St. Dominic High School in O’Fallon, MO. Eric was recently awarded a National Association of Distinguished Counsel Top 1% Award, a Top 100 Trial Attorney award for his achievements in Trial Law and a Top 10 Client Satisfaction Award for Criminal Law in Missouri. Eric attended college at Furman University in South Carolina where he obtained his bachelor degree in Business Administration. While a player on Furman’s baseball team, he was named to the all-conference tournament team and made the Dean’s list for academic excellence. At Furman, Eric also became a member of the largest international fraternity, Tau Kappa Epsilon. Upon graduation from Furman, Eric returned to the Show-Me State to attend law school at the University of Missouri-Columbia. He received the Cali Excellence for the Future Award before graduating with his Juris-Doctorate. Eric gained experience with internships at two different law firms and worked at the Attorney General’s Office. Upon passing the Missouri Bar Exam, Eric returned to St. Charles County to become an assistant prosecuting attorney. The trial experience and understanding of the court systems he gained during this time were building blocks that helped catapult his highly successful career as a criminal defense trial lawyer. Brooke Eaves Wright was born and raised in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and served as Miss Myrtle Beach 2008, 2010, and 2012. Brooke graduated from Clemson University, where she received a B.S. in Marketing and a Minor in Legal Studies in 2011. Thereafter, Brooke received her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2014. During law school, Brooke was a member of the Moot Court Bar and was one of eight students named to the Order of the Barristers in 2012. Brooke competed on the National Competition Team and was one of three Moot Court Bar members selected to represent the USC School of Law in the National Moot Court Competition sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers. Brooke was a Top Four Finalist in the Kate Bockman Memorial 2L Moot Court Competition, in which she argued at the South Carolina Court of Appeals. Brooke served as the Associate Justice of Public Relations & Alumni for the Moot Court Bar. Brooke was an Editorial Staff Member of the Journal of Law & Education and received the Best Spader Award for the January 2012 and July 2013 issues of the Journal. As a Myrtle Beach native, Brooke has always been actively involved in the Myrtle Beach community. Brooke established the Backpack Buddies program in 14 Horry County Schools to provide meals for over 2,100 food insecure children on the weekends. Brooke was recognized with the Presidential Service Award and the Nancy Moore Thurmond Community Service Scholarship for her efforts with the Backpack Buddies program. In addition, Brooke received the Sun News Community Leadership Scholarship for her dedication to community service in the Myrtle Beach community. Born and raised in Mid-Michigan, Casey attended Michigan State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Advertising. Casey worked for years in advertising, marketing, and business consultation before deciding to attend law school. In 2013, Casey graduated Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School (now Western Michigan University Cooley Law School), with a concentration in Intellectual Property. While attending law school, Casey worked on various consumer protection projects with the Attorney General of Michigan, as well as interning for an East Lansing based law firm. In 2014, Casey was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan, and is licensed to practice in the state of Michigan, is admitted to practice in the Michigan Federal Court of the Western District, and has been admitted to practice in the Colorado Federal Court, as well as the United States Tax Court. Since becoming licensed, Casey has been working as a solo practitioner in Michigan. Casey has worked in a wide variety of areas including Real Estate, Landlord/Tenant, Copyright, Contracts, Tax Issues, Business Organization, Wills and Trusts, Bar Exam Appeals, Collections, Construction Law, and Compliance. Recently, Casey has received a Certificate of Completion in the areas of probate and estate planning issued by the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan.

Louis G. Guzzo, Attorney at Law, was formerly a law clerk to the presiding family law judge in Atlantic County. Upon graduation from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University in New York, classmates Evan N. Pickus and Howard S. Landsberg sought to fulfill a vision- the formation of their own law firm. Originally intending to concentrate in the areas of tax and estates, Mr. Pickus opened his office in East Brunswick, New Jersey, and Mr. Landsberg opened his office in Long Island, New York, with the intention of working together to serve the needs of residents of the respective areas. For more than a decade, Chris Cadem has concentrated his practice on litigation matters in both criminal and civil cases in State and Federal Court. His experience includes more than 100 trials and roughly a dozen appeals, including multiple petitions to the Minnesota Supreme Court. He has successfully litigated cases spanning from simple speeding tickets to first degree murder and first degree criminal sexual conduct. Deena R. Merlen is a Partner at the firm. She serves clients at both our New York and Stamford offices and heads the Connecticut practice. Her practice areas include intellectual property, employment and labor law, media and entertainment, general business law, commercial transactions and dispute resolution. In her employment practice, Ms. Merlen is a trusted “go to” problem solver and counsel to individuals, established name brand companies and startups alike. I received my Juris Doctor and Master of Social Work degrees from Loyola University Chicago with a certificate in child law and a concentration in non-profit program management and development. There, I also received a public interest recognition award and a leadership and service award. Before forming Hunsinger Law Group, LLC, I worked with multiple disenfranchised populations in various parts of the world. For example, I worked with refugees in southern Mexico at the United Nations, conducted field research about child domestic servitude in Tanzania, and assisted with representing high-risk youth in South Africa at the University of Pretoria's Child Law Centre. In fact, a case wherein I drafted a brief about triple jeopardy for students, received a favorable opinion from the Constitutional Court of South Africa (USA's Supreme Court equivalent). In the United States, I also gained valuable experience at Loyola University's Civitas ChildLaw Center and Northwestern's Bluhm Legal Clinic's Child and Family Justice Center as a student attorney appointed by the court to represent children in custody disputes and protection proceedings. Within that capacity, I conducted home visits investigating the child's safety within the environment. I also met with incarcerated youth and adult clients, writing reports for the legal team about the clients' well-being and institutional adjustment. In addition, I represented juveniles, parolee candidates, and people with disabilities in hearings. My past non-profit experiences include helping one non-profit program increase revenue by 25% in 6-months, drafting mission statements, creating and implementing a mental health screening process for a volunteer program, writing a training component for behavioral health practitioners, specifically a curriculum about military sexual assault, organizing summits that connect service providers to families who lost loved ones, analyzing legislation pertaining to a non-profit's interests and writing fact sheets and briefs to inform staff.
