Before John earned his law degree from the University of Michigan, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in both Economics and Mathematics from the University of Iowa. That’s why he brings such a detail-oriented and analytical focus to all of his litigation matters, and why he’s been retained by big and small clients, from large banks and factoring lenders to property owners, entrepreneurs and investors.

He’s been through several serious injuries himself, including a motorcycle accident at the age of 17 when he lost his left leg, just above the knee. Zack joined Hepworth and Associates in June of 2020 after concluding a judicial clerkship for judges David J. Williams and Thomas L. Kay of Utah’s 2nd District Court. Zack received his Juris Doctorate from Arizona State University. While in law school, Zack was an ASU Law Student Ambassador, a volunteer for Court works (a Phoenix-area program that teaches moot court skills to middle school students), and Associate Management Editor for the Arizona State University Sports and Entertainment Law Journal. Zack has experience in both criminal and civil litigation. He has seen every side of criminal law cases – for the state in the prosecutor’s offices of Maricopa County, Arizona, and Weber County, Utah; for defendants at the Maricopa County, Arizona Public Defender’s Office; and for the judiciary, working as a clerk for the Utah State Courts. Zack also has experience in many areas of civil litigation. Following law school, Zack worked for Clarke Law Firm in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he assisted in cases that included family law, property law, contract law, employment law, and estate planning issues. Additionally, in his time with the courts, he has been able to work on a wide range of matters big and small. Whether you have a business law case, a family law matter, or any other type of civil litigation, Zack is always ready to take on a new challenge. When he’s not in the office, Zack is either spending time with his family, watching basketball, or teaching for the University of Utah, where he helps prospective law students as an LSAT prep instructor.

Zachary C. Myers is a champion debater and zealous litigator who will vindicate your rights as a property owner or renter. Zach became a champion debater by wining First Place in multiple intercollegiate speech and debate tournaments. He was the recipient of the 2007 Mahaffey Award for excellence in speech and debate. His education and training includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science (Magna Cum Laude) from Utah State University and a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center. At Georgetown Zach explored a broad variety of interests. He was the Senior Submissions Editor for the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal. He also participated in mock trial competitions, won a pro bono asylum case, and advised the Ohio Public Service Commission on administrative law and energy policy. Currently, Zach has focused his efforts on real estate litigation. Zach has exemplary ability in legal research and writing.
