About Shon
Mr. Douctre is the Founder and Managing Member of Private Counsel, L.L.C., a private law office with a section dedicated to DUI and DRUG defenses. Private Counsel, L.L.C., does handle other types of cases (both criminal and civil) on a case-by-case basis. Please call for details. Prior to forming his former law firm named Gonzalez & Douctre, L.L.C., he worked as an attorney in the capacity of an Assistant Public Defender for Orange County, Florida. He has represented many great people on a range of criminal charges. Of all his prior criminal cases, approximately 70% have been criminal traffic such as:

Well before deciding to become a lawyer, he joined the United States Navy. He served his country proudly from 1987-1991 before receiving an honorable discharge after Desert Storm. He received the National Defense Medal for his contribution in that conflict. Afterwards, he attended Pennsylvania State University for his undergraduate degree (1991-1995) before commencing law school in Florida in 1996 at Barry University School of Law (graduating Cum Laude). At Penn State he earned Deans List seven times. In 1994 and 1995 respectively, he was inducted in the Kappa Tau Alpha and Golden Key National Honor Societies.
While in law school, he worked for many private law firms in a variety of legal capacities. He started in 1997 as a law student file clerk for the local Orlando law firm of Rissman & Wiesberg, et. al. In two years, he advanced to the position of Law Office Manager for The Center for Professional Legal Services of Greater Orlando. After leaving The Center in 1999, he worked consecutively as a Contracted Litigation Paralegal for: the National law firm of Baker & Hostetler, LLP, Dempsey & Sasso, and Gary, Williams, Parenti, Sperando, et. al. He is a member of the American Bar Association and of the Central Florida Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association. Additionally, he belongs to the United States Middle District of Florida Bar. He joined the Florida Bar in 9/2002.
