Shoshana T. Bookson is an experienced trial attorney specializing in the field of complex tort cases involving the seriously injured.
Ms. Bookson is well known for the numerous seven figure recoveries obtained for her clients, either by verdict or settlement, and has earned high professional regard of her peers for her integrity and excellence in the representation of her clients.
In addition to her private practice, Ms. Bookson has been professionally as well as politically active.
She has served as President of the state wide New York State Trial Lawyers Association and continues to serve as a trustee of the association's political action committee, LAWPAC. During her years as an officer and active Board member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association,leading up to her term as President, Ms. Bookson has been a leading advocate for injured victims on both the state and national political scene. Continuing to the present, she frequently lobbies in Albany and Washington for expansion and protection of civil justice issues. In addition, Ms Bookson serves as cochair of the Women's Caucus of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
Ms. Bookson is a proud alumna of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, from which she received her law school education and during which she was selected to serve as an editor of the Moot Court Board. Ms. Bookson currently serves as Trustee of the Cardozo Board of Directors as well as Chair of the Cardozo Women's Alumni group. She has been very active in outreach efforts for women in law school and to provide a network for female attorneys in the practice of law. Ms. Bookson is a frequent lecturer and speaker for the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and other groups on issues relating to the practice of personal injury law and consumer protection.
Ms. Bookson also serves as a New York Governor for the American Association for Justice, the national association of trial attorneys formerly known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), and on several committees of the Association. In the past, Ms. Bookson has also served as co chair of the UJA Federation Trial Lawyers Committee.
