About Simon

Simon Allentuch has a broad civil litigation practice including employment law, commercial litigation and class litigation. He has represented clients successfully in employment discrimination, business tort, contract, restrictive covenant, consumer fraud and professional negligence lawsuits. Mr. Allentuch represents clients in state and federal court, in arbitrations and before various administrative agencies including the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities.

Mr. Allentuch also serves as labor and employment counsel for many clients, providing both counseling and litigation services. He regularly counsels and represents clients on a wide range of labor and employment issues such as traditional labor relations, discrimination, harassment, terminations, layoffs, reasonable accommodations for disabled employees, investigation of employee complaints, application of the state and federal family and medical leave acts and interpretation of the wage and hour laws. Mr. Allentuch drafts and provides advice on employment contracts, restrictive covenants, severance agreements and the implementation of employment manuals, policies and procedures.

Mr. Allentuch graduated with Departmental and University Honors from the University of Chicago in 1990 with a Bachelors of Arts in European History, and received his law degree from New York University School of Law in 1993. During law school, Mr. Allentuch was an Associate Editor for the Review of Law and Social Change.
