About Stephen

Stephen Moses has gained a wide range of business experience throughout the Bay Area and internationally. After graduating from Syracuse University College of Law in 1997, Mr. Moses moved to San Francisco where he worked as a law clerk for the City Attorney for the City of Berkeley. After being admitted to the California State Bar, Mr. Moses took a position with Lucent Technologies Middle East Branch Office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. At Lucent, Mr. Moses worked on a billion dollar construction project to build an optical fiber communications network for the UAE Military. At the same time, Mr. Moses handled all aspects of business contracting for the branch office, including government contracts. Mr. Moses negotiated the first nationwide voice mail system purchased by the government of Oman for Lucent Technologies.

From 2000-2003, Mr. Moses returned to the Bay Area and worked in the area of technology licensing for a large, San Francisco law firm and subsequently returned in-house with a small, start-up Software Company. During this time Mr. Moses' practice focused exclusively on technology licensing.

Since mid-2003, Mr. Moses' practice has primarily focused on litigation in construction, real estate and technology. Mr. Moses has represented owners and contractors in construction defects actions, mechanics lien claims and other construction related disputes as counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants. As a result of his project experience, Mr. Moses is able to forensically analyze construction problems to determine a fair resolution of a construction dispute. As a result, Mr. Moses is able to resolve most construction disputes without the need for trial, and even before any party commences litigation.

Mr. Moses has also litigated several technology and real estate cases. Mr. Moses settled a patent technology license dispute between a patent holder and primary investor, resulting in a worldwide license to manufacture and distribute clean water filtration technology. As co-counsel, Mr. Moses successfully tried a breach of commercial lease case on behalf of the owner of a commercial building in Los Angeles County Superior Court in 2005.

Mr. Moses has significant experience advising business owners, construction trades and technology companies on all facets of commercial contracting and disputes, including drafting and negotiating complex business agreements, including technology license and distribution agreements, commercial leases and construction contracts for both private and public works.
