I recently resolved a case for a single mother whose daughter was getting ready to start college. I did not find out about this until after we settled the case and my client called me in tears telling me about her situation. Her daughter had been accepted to a prestigious university, but she had no way to pay for it. My client confessed that she had been under incredible stress about this, but that the settlement I had obtained for her would be able to pay for her daughter's entire college education.
