Throughout his career practicing criminal defense, Chad has developed a strong recognition for the fact that when a person is facing criminal charges, however serious, their family, children, and friends are affected too. At stake is a person’s liberty, as well as their personal and professional reputations. No one should face the stress and burdens of criminal charges alone. Chad understands that an experienced criminal defense attorney is essential to providing aggressive and zealous representation from the beginning of an investigation to ensure that his client’s liberties are fully protected and the very best outcome is able to be achieved. Chad is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the Greenville County Bar, the Greenville Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. While in law school, worked with the South Carolina Commission on Indigent Defense in the Division of Capital Defenders. This division of lawyers focuses solely on advocating for and defending those people facing the potential of the death penalty. The time spent in this role is what sparked Chad’s desire to focus his career in criminal defense. After graduating from law school, Chad joined the 13th Circuit Public Defender’s Office as an Assistant Public Defender in the Greenville Office where he continued to work until ultimately being promoted to Deputy Public Defender of the Pickens County Public Defender’s Office.
