Jerome B. Blevins is a partner in the Liability division in the St. Petersburg office. Over the past 20 years, Jerry focused his practice in several areas including civil trial, personal injury, automobile liability, premises liability, products liability, civil rights (both federal and state) and governmental sovereign immunity. In addition, he has extensive litigation experience in commercial trucking and insurance defense. Currently, Jerry primarily represents insurance companies and self insured entities. Robert “Rob” Eckard is the founding partner in this litigation firm. He established the firm in 2000 after leaving the State Attorney’s Office, 6th Judicial Circuit, Clearwater, Pinellas County, Florida, where he prosecuted both felony and misdemeanor criminal cases. Katelynn Gibbons is the eldest daughter of partner, E. Lynn Gibbons. In elementary school, Katie routinely reminded her Mom of the annual, "Take Your Daughters To Work Day". Some of her fondest childhood memories are of traveling to courthouses across the state at Lynn’s side through the years. Witnessing her mother's passion for justice and compassion for other people firsthand at a young age has had a lasting effect on her. She first started working at Jorgensen Gibbons, P.A. over the summer in middle school when she wasn't playing basketball. Katie graduated from St. Petersburg Catholic High School in 2012 and she earned a B.A. degree, Magna Cum Laude, in psychology from the University of South Florida in 2014. Between college and law school, she worked as the workers’ compensation paralegal at the firm. Since day one, she has treated the firm's clients as if they were family. In the Fall of 2015, she followed in her Mom's footsteps and started law school at Stetson University College of Law - a few blocks away from the firm. The proximity allowed her to continue working part-time at JG while she was in law school. She graduated a semester early and earned her J.D. from Stetson in December of 2017. Suzanne Cichon is the founder and managing attorney of Athena Law PLLC. She is committed to providing quality legal services to her clients in the most cost efficient manner possible. Jean Pierre Espinoza is a native of Lima, Perú. In 2004, Mr. Espinoza graduated from Universidad de San Martin de Porres (USMP) with an LL.B. (Bachelors in Law) and a law degree. He was admitted into the Lima Bar Association (Colegio de Abogados de Lima) in 2006. In 2008, Mr. Espinoza graduated with an LL.M. (Masters in Law) in Comparative Law with a Certificate in International Business and Trade Law from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law. In 2010, he graduated with a Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law and was admitted into the Florida Bar Association. He has been licensed to practice law in Florida for more than 10 years. He has been immersed in both legal systems: civil law and common law. He worked as a NAFTA Panel Assistant and a Research Assistant for the Center for Governmental Responsibility of the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law. While in Peru, Mr. Espinoza clerked for the most important law firms in Lima in areas such as commercial law, intellectual property, bankruptcy, civil litigation, and contracts. He also clerked for INDECOPI (National Institute for the Defense of Competition and Protection of Intellectual Property). When in the United States, he realized the importance of immigration and nationality law in the life of millions of immigrants residing in this country and oriented his career to this area of law. He clerked for different immigration firms in Florida. When a law student, Mr. Espinoza was granted the Florida Bar Foundation fellowship and he spent an entire summer as an intern in the Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center (FIAC) in Miami, Florida. Also, while in law school, he was one of the founders and the first president of the Immigration Law Student Association (ILSA) at Stetson University College of Law. He researched different topics of immigration law and as a result, he published legal articles in venues such as Florida International Law Journal, Benders Immigration Bulletin, Journal for Migration and Refugee Issues, and Immigration Daily. Mr. Espinoza has been a speaker in venues such as Polk County Courthouse and Stetson University College of Law. He is constantly invited to speak to the Hispanic community in central Florida in churches, non-profit organizations, and educational events. He has been interviewed in the past by newspapers, radio stations, and television news programs. Mr. Espinoza is fluent in English and Spanish and has a basic knowledge of Portuguese. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the Lakeland Bar Association (LBA), and the Catholic Lawyers’ Guild of Central Florida. He is the current president of the Hispanic Bar Association for the Tenth Judicial Circuit.
