Jacksonville law enforcement, along with other assisting agencies have just finished a "to catch a predator" style sting, which resulted in the arrest of 12 men who showed up at the decoy house, according to law enforcement, looking for sex with a minor.

The men responded to ads on the internet and after chatting with undercover law enforcement, travelled to a house where law enforcement were waiting to arrest them

Instead, 12 men ranging in age from 19 to 52 were arrested on charges of using the Internet to solicit or lure a child after a multi-agency Internet sting labeled Operation Guardian attracted them, then captured them, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

These stings usually border on entrapment, where unsuspecting adult male originally seek sex with adult women on adult websites. After law enforcement gets the mark hooked, they mention that the decoy is a minor, usually between 13-15.  Sometimes it's not clear whether the suspects were ever aware the decoy was underage.

Most of the suspects will be charged with at least one 2nd degree felony punishable by 15 years prison and requiring registration as a sex offender for life.
