Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I try to make a big difference in every case. The case that stands out in the recent past is a workers' comp case where the employer and insurer had turned against my client who needed knee surgery and was out of work with no income. I took the case to court and was able to secure him his surgery and his weekly income benefits checks from the insurance company. The client and I are friends to this day.
How did you build a successful practice?
By telling the truth no matter how good or bad the news is. By caring about my clients as people instead of a case file and by fighting for my clients. I believe a high proportion of my clients would and do refer their friends and family to me and that's how I get more work to do.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Ability to communicate. Someone who will tell them their options and explain them until they fully understand. Someone who will tell them his opinion and fight to protect the client's interests.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
The amount of time I am willing to spend to make sure the client has a plan for after they settle their case to take care of medical treatment and income. The amount of time I spend explaining options and answering questions until the client is 100% comfortable with major case decisions.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Helping people. Sounds cliche but I want to work with people who truly need my help...it's why I opened my firm representing injured people after working as an insurance defense attorney.
Are you involved in your community?
Yes me and my firm have participated in many charitable events in the community.
